About the role:

The Resource Lead Support is responsible for supporting the primary Resource lead in managing the supply/demand matching function for their assigned resource pool(s) to directly drive productivity metrics. The Resource Lead Support will work directly with the Regional Capability Lead to fulfill regional demands and will work strategically across the Resource Lead team to maximize productivity by ensuring supply is aligned to demand across NA. The Resource Lead Support will collaborate with various Avanade stakeholders such as Project Leads, Sales Teams, Delivery Managers, business unit leadership and consultants to understand future demand pipeline as well as to fulfill known demand.

Key Responsibilities:

The Resource Lead Support’s scope of responsibility is supporting the Primary Resource Lead in managing the resource supply/demand matching function for assigned business unit(s). The Resource Lead Support is working closed with the Primary Resource Lead, and coordinating communications with Regional Capability Leads, Area MU Leads, Project Leads, Sales Teams, Delivery Managers, regional/MU leadership and consultants to execute supply/demand matching and understand future demand.

·        Performance and Tasks Management: Effectively manages time, task/priorities and organizes workload on a daily and weekly basis to complete activities within their function

·        Autonomy and Decision Making: Operates independently and leverages leadership/Primary Resource Lead guidance as needed to drive decisions

·        Team Impact & Contribution to Business: Works independently to achieve objectives and deliver results that impact the success of the team; Collaborates across the resource team to ensure effective supply/demand matching across the entire Area to maximize productivity metrics

·        Work with Business Unit(s) and Delivery Managers on resource availability to fulfill demand

·        Work with the Business Unit(s) leadership and Resource Lead Team to leverage myScheduling system and ensure efficient processes

·        Adhere to and execute standard scheduling processes and procedures to ensure consistency

·        Work with Resource Leads from other business units/regions to co-ordinate and track cross-region/MU supply/demand matching

·        Evaluate resources based on role requirements, business/project factors, exercise experience and expertise to balance business need with individual's preferences and career development goals

·        Manage expectations on resource availability with business unit(s) leadership and demand stakeholders

·        Ensure smooth transition for the consultants between client engagements

·        Update and maintain data in myScheduling system ensuring information is accurate

·        Provide resume guidance as needed to consultants to enhance the supply/demand matching capabilities in myScheduling

·        Send communication reminders to consultants to update resume, skills, certification and schedules (vacation/training) in myScheduling

·        Build personal relationships with region/MU leadership and consultants by working consistently in an Avanade office location

Required Skills:

·        3+ years in project management/operations/scheduling/personnel coordination experience

·        Able to facilitate and balance needs of stakeholders, i.e. Clients, Business Development, Regional Capability Lead and consultants in the fulfillment of the supply/demand matching function

·        Demonstrate success working in a dynamic, frequently changing and geographically dispersed environment as well as willingness to support business need

·        Able to stay abreast of new developments in Microsoft technologies. Previous knowledge of MS technologies highly desirable.

·        Goal oriented and has a sense of urgency to get things done

·        Willing to seek responsibility and take ownership of tasks

·        Organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines - possess high-level organizational skills and strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high volume environment. 

·        Independent, persistent and decisive

·        Able to work well under pressure and deadlines

·        Friendly, sociable and out-going with a positive attitude

·        Able to communicate and write well

·        Possess sound working knowledge of MS office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

Preferred Skills:

·        3+ years of resource management experience preferred
