Role Overview:
 
As a Commercial Pricing Specialist, you are a leader of people, programs, and projects that drive the day-to-day execution of key activities and ensure continuity and operational alignment to the global team responsible for the financial aspects of shaping and pricing client engagements and other corporate transactions. You will provide operational leadership and manage standard processes, projects, and programs.
 
Key Role Responsibilities:

Day-to-day, you will:
  • Act as a business advisor to Avanade leadership in the shaping of transactions for Avanade’s largest engagements, including large and complex multi-Market Unit consulting and managed services engagements
  • Support financial aspects for shaping, structuring and closing transactions and ensuring compelling business cases for both Avanade and its clients
  • Develop creative and innovative executable deal shapes including managing commercial arrangements, often across multiple concurrent deal opportunities
  • Evaluate financial investment performance and underlying costs of an offering through the creation of valuation models, pricing models and preparation of market and competitive assessments
  • Drive globally consistent financial deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies, GAAP and commercial standards
  • Support proposal/project teams through management and ownership of financial aspects of deal review and enabling the transition to delivery

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:
 
Your technical and non-technical skills may include:
  • Understanding of consulting/professional services contracts and deal structures
  • Experience of working in a financial/commercial capacity coupled with knowledge of pricing fundamentals
  • Proven ability and success in working with teams
  • Proven ability to lead and manage junior team members
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, SharePoint, Word, etc
  • Financial experience

Preferred Education Background:
You will likely possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in Finance or relevant field
 
Preferred Years of Work Experience:
You will likely have 6+ years of related prior work experience
 
Scope of Work: Provides operational leadership for work efforts requiring significant coordination.
Knowledge Applied: Applies advanced knowledge of finance discipline and strong business operational acumen.
Complexity: Complex problems that consistently span work domains, requiring considerable judgment of contextual factors.
Organizational Impact: Work efforts have significant impact on near- and medium-term Avanade and/or client operations. 
Discretion: Wide latitude in approach to work, including ability to reshape work plans, guided by professional best practices and domain expertise.
Supervision Received: Works independently, with occasional validation of work efforts against strategic and operational objectives. Significant latitude in judgment & approach.
Supervision Provided: Mentors and manages work efforts of more junior colleagues and team members as required by various workstreams; may formally supervise work of project teams. Often serves as Career Advisor.
Nature of Work: Creates and implements work plans for assigned projects, programs, and/or clients against established operational objectives; supports translation of group strategy into objectives and work plans.
