Job Description

As a Scheduling Senior Analyst, you will resource supply and demand to effectively and efficiently staff projects with the necessary capabilities and expertise and will work with various parties within Avanade in order to accomplish this. These individuals include Capability Leads, the Business Development team, Project Managers, Human Resources team, Talent Community Leads, Accenture, our subcontractors, and Country Manager.

Day-to-day you will:
  • Evaluate resources based on role requirements and take into consideration the individual’s preferences as well as career development goals;
  • Help set expectations on resource availability with the Capability Leads, Talent Community Leads, and Project Managers;
  • Ensure a smooth transition for the consultants who are on and between customer engagements;
  • Work with the Capability Leads and Project Managers on resource availability to help them develop and close opportunities;
  • Update and maintain data in the scheduling system while ensuring information is accurate and reliable. Distribute ad-hoc reports when needed;
  • Facilitate regular resource and sales meetings and ensure the discussion is documented and followed through-Work with the Capability Leads to enhance scheduling systems and processes;
  • Track and report certification metrics of consultants;
  • Support HR in recruitment, training, and development-Coordinate and facilitate employees’ resume updates and writing in a standardized format;
  • Work with resource schedulers from other regions to coordinate and track inter-country assignments.

  • Written and spoken skills in Finnish and English to a professional working level is a must to be considered for this position.
  • Able to facilitate and balance the needs of stakeholders (i.e. customers, Business Development, Capability Director, Talent Community Leads, and consultant in the fulfillment of a role in a project).
  • Demonstrate success working in a dynamic, frequently changing and geographically dispersed environment as well as the willingness to help wherever needed - even in areas not specifically scheduling such as sales operation.
  • Possess sound working knowledge of MS Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Goal-oriented and has a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Willing to seek responsibility and take ownership of tasks.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Independent, persistent, and decisive.
  • Able to work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Great interpersonal skills.

In addition to primarily focused on your own work, and execution of prescribed work plans, you will have the following:
  • Nature of Work: Provides technical, administrative, or operational support with a developed understanding of processes, procedures & best practices.
  • Complexity: Slightly more complex assignments that are usually amenable to standard processes and routines.
  • Discretion: Some discretion in how work is approached, but still primarily delivering work aligned to standard processes.
  • Organizational Impact: Work efforts primarily impact self and immediate team.
  • Supervision Received: General oversight from more senior colleagues/managers.
  • Supervision Provided: Provides informal supervision to less experienced colleagues on routine matters.
  • Knowledge Applied: Applies basic knowledge of a learned occupation/discipline, or strong understanding of organizational policies and processes. A work-relevant degree is typical at this stage.

You likely possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Computer Information Systems, another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You likely have about 2 to 4 years of professional experience.
