Client Finance Management Consultant

As a Client Finance Management Consultant, you will be an advanced operational and administrative support role to teams focused on direct management of client financial accounts and projects. You will provide advanced analytic and operational support as a part of a team.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Day-to-day, you will:

• Provide complete financial management of client engagements from the point of contract close to project completion and final collection.
• Advise client teams on engagement budget and forecast management activities, including analysis of loaded costs (direct, and indirect costs) and other metrics in order to maximize the profitability of engagements.
• Drive accuracy and rigor across the forecasting process at the engagement level, including monitoring financial status and costs, performing financial forecasting and analysis, and producing financial reports
  Ensure all stakeholders are aware of risks and there are no financial surprises on the deal for Avanade or the client.
• Support internal financial controls and ensure adherence to policies at the project/engagement level, particularly including contract and revenue recognition policies.
• Perform advanced calculations, analyses, and/or projections.
• Ensure accuracy of data input and output in critical financial systems
• Produce initial/draft components for deliverables and reports under direction and review of more senior team members.
• May perform Finance Ops and/or Controllership duties in addition to primary focus on Client Finance Management

Preferred Education Background:

You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in Finance or relevant field

Preferred Years of Work Experience: You will likely have 4+ years of prior relevant work experience

Nature of Work:
Provides technical, administrative, or operational support with developed understanding of processes, procedures & best practices.

Scope of Work:
Primarily focused on own work, and execution of prescribed work plans.

Complexity:
Slightly more complex assignments that are usually amenable to standard processes and routines.

Some discretion in how work is approached, but still primarily delivering work aligned to standard processes.

Organizational Impact: Work efforts primarily impact self and immediate team.

Supervision Received: General oversight from more senior colleagues / managers.

Supervision Provided: Provides informal supervision to less experienced colleagues on routine matters.

Knowledge Applied: Applies basic knowledge of a learned occupation / discipline, or strong understanding of organizational policies and processes. A work-relevant degree is typical at this stage.
