The role

Avanade Italy is seeking a junior legal Trainee to join ICEG and Uae Legal Team. The Trainee will report directly to the Italian Legal Lead and will become a member of the wider team in Europe, with the opportunity to work on cross-Europe and global tasks and projects.

The Trainee will work closely with the attorneys, helping them in activities related to research and study of law in the context of corporate and commercial law, IP law, labor law and privacy law (and improving his/her skills).

The Trainee will have the chance to participate in most of the activities of the Legal Department, including:

• advising business and sales units, and other functions on relevant legal and regulatory issues, working closely with them to find practical, profitable growth-oriented solutions;
• reviewing and identifying risks in contracts and providing advices on how risks can be mitigated and managed contractually;
• supporting the participation to Government and public tenders;
• supporting Board of Directors Secretary, archiving and drafting both Board Meeting Minutes and Shareholders’ Meeting Minutes;
• supporting and advising other Company departments (HR, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, etc.);
• supporting activities for Company’s legal knowledge repositories and contracts database and other databases for the legal department;
• providing legal training and drafting guidelines;
• providing assistance and guidance on Company’s policies and supporting escalation and approval processes due to Avanade policies;
• coordinating the Surveillance Committee (O.D.V.) and the external law firm activities.

The candidate

Candidate for the Trainee position should have the following skills:

• Law degree (with strong academic credential);
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Willing to work as part of a team;
• Willing to improve his/her knowledge and skills;
• Proactive, self-starter, with a good comfort level for dealing with deadlines and pressure situations;
• Affinity for process and practicality;
• Knowledge of computer-based document management systems.                   

Facts and Figures

Place of work: Milan (Italy)

Type of engagement: 6-months stage

Monthly payment: around 800€, meal tickets of 7€ per day
