Client Executive

Consumer Goods & Services (CG&S)


In support of our continued growth journey, we are looking for a Client Executive to capitalize on our capabilities and value to build out existing clients. Our goal is to grow our net client acquisition and core business by driving the growth strategy and delivering sales and revenue targets. As Client Executive you will be instrumental in ensuring we achieve these objectives.

As a Client Executive, you will incarnate the “Sell while Deliver” approach, mixing Business Development, Delivery & Project Management. You will lead project teams and/or programs and will be accountable for the overall management, planning, and delivery of assigned projects/programs. This role will be responsible for leading client partnership and the successful delivery of the services and corresponding customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be directly involved in channel development and key sales pursuits. You may also serve as a Career Manager or provide technical expertise and mentorship to colleagues. This is a senior role, with wide-ranging and often complex responsibilities, with freedoms to act to your strenghts.

You will be accountable for continuing to build and maintain relationship with one or more of our accounts in the CG&S vertical while focusing on account strategy and growth. You use your strong relationship building skills become a partner for our clients on a strategic, tactical, and operational level. Through this you strenghten the existing base of clients and core business through increased sales focus, driving the growth strategy and delivering sales and revenue targets with a specific focus on selling large scale custom application and cloud modernization deals with clients. 

You will already be capable of navigating the market with specific focus on CG&S clients. Capable of initiating discussions at c-level with clients you are able to develop long-lasting customer relationships and strategic relationships with partners. You understand the needs of your stakeholders and with the support of the business you are able to anticipate them. Hence, you become a true partner who your clients rely on to help the future proof there digital landscape.

In short, the nature of the work entails:

  • Directs collective work efforts to accomplish strategic goals for given portfolio of projects, programs, and/or clients;
  • Translates high-level strategy into more localized strategy and operational objectives;
  • Authority to establish standards and shift overall direction of projects and programs in response to functional strategy Organizational;
  • Drive client-relationship and sales outcomes;
  • Often serves as Career Advisor.

In summary, you are responsible for:

Lead the delivery of the contracted solution on the program level at the agreed upon terms. Manage overall project/program risks, adjusting as necessary and obtaining buy-in from senior management for critical project plans, commitment and changes. Provide strategic direction to all change management activities for project or programs. Provide project leadership to appropriate onshore, offshore and near shore workforces. Participate in sales pursuits driving the solution planning and deal shaping process that will help drive business value for our customers.

Ensure a business development activity on the assigned scope :

  • Formulating clear strategy for accounts leading the client to new ideas;
  • Help client develop Technology vision & strategy;
  • Own account strategy & multi-year account plan;
  • Look across account for cross Solution Area opportunities;
  • Leverage References and thought leadership in industry and Area;
  • Drive continuous innovation through thought leadership;
  • Conduct Design Thinking workshops to understand client’s business; Objectives, Opportunities & Pain points;
  • Curate the client's experience with Avanade;
  • Conduct Stakeholder Interviews/Understand Success Criteria;
  • Cultivate alliance relationships (MSFT and others);
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to drive success;
  • Develop customized proposals and business case, driving exceptional client experience.

You make the difference because:

  • You have a proven track record and experience shaping and selling solutions into the CG&S sector in an IT services or IT consulting environment for ideally 8+ years.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically. Also, you have a good understanding of contract terms and interpretation.
  • You have demonstrated understanding of key Project/Program Management disciplines as well (estimating, work planning, contract management, scope management, user acceptance, etc). Within this you know how to manage customer expectations.

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • A proven track record of sales, delivery, and relationship management leading to a strong partnership;
  • You have proven to build out a client through the selling of IT solutions;
  • Results oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment;
  • Good client interface and presentation skills;
  • Good business skills and understanding;
  • Customer oriented attitude and good interpersonal skills;
  • Good people management skills, including ability to lead a team and mentor individuals in career growth
