Business Development Manager (Manufacturing Industry), F/H

In support of our continued growth journey, Avanade is looking for a Business Development Manager with a focus on clients and whitespace accounts within the manufacturing industry. We have a total of 6 offices in France, spread out across Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand. The Team and Role

As a Business Development Manager you are responsible for our growth within the defined industry. It is up to you to create opportunities by means of a solid plan of action. You analyze the market, co-create a target list of (whitespace) accounts together with the Industry Lead, identify key themes within the industry, work closely with Microsoft and Accenture, be pro-active towards your set of accounts to learn about their business priorities and trigger digital transformation aspirations. You will map these priorities to our top-notch digital transformation services, ranging from the modern workplace to businesses applications, and from cloud to data & AI. 

As a Business Manager, you will manage the relationship and business development of a portfolio of Key Account Clients, coordinating our teams of experts to offer these Clients the best approaches and services. You will work closely with the rest of the sales team consisting of others like pre-sales consultants, Solution Architects, Marketing and the Industry Lead. Together you convert the opportunities you have created into new assignments. You have a hunter mentality and generate opportunities for both the short and the long term.

In this role you are responsible for the entire sales process; from lead generation to writing proposals and from negotiations to the conclusion of the contract. The role therefore requires an experienced Business Development Manager, preferably with a network of clients and influencers in the industry that you can use. Your experience and drive for success will help with our growth ambitions. 

Skills

You are an experienced Business Developer, Client Account Lead, Client Executive, Key Account Manager, or Business Unit Manager, with expertise and leadership in building and developing successful sales teams, selling solutions, account strategy, and conducting business in competitive and complex environments.

·       You have strong skills and abilities to develop a territory strategy to ensure short- and long-term goals.

·       You are a trusted advisor to major French and International Groups in their IS/IT transformation or optimization.

·       You forge and execute a C-level conviction and vision, and you actively coordinate multidisciplinary pre-sales teams to maximize your impact at key accounts: your mission is to help our clients succeed in the challenges they face, in defining and implementing their cloud transformation strategies

·       By surrounding yourself and mentoring a team that shares the same DNA of commitment to our customers, passion for innovation and technology, excellence in quality and delivery, and inspiring and leading our talent, you will achieve profitable growth.

·       With an entrepreneurial spirit, you are now-looking and committed to the future with a passion for innovation and consulting

·       You are responsible for the growth of your scope on the two axes of sales volume and turnover

·       A good level of written and oral English is essential.
