The Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) at Avanade is accountable for developing and executing the company I&D strategy. They will embed inclusive practices and mindsets into the company culture to ensure everyone at Avanade can be authentic, do their best work, and thrive. Leading a global team of I&D professionals, they will partner with the business and Human Resources to advance our Inclusion & Diversity strategy and outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a credible leader with strong organizational change management and culture change experience. They can influence others and create collaborative relationships across a large global high-tech professional services organization. The Avanade I&D Lead also understands how to translate learning and development into actionable experiences. They will champion the adoption of new behaviors to drive real change, including scaling learning globally. The Head of I&D understands the complexity of organizational systems and knows how to pull multiple levers to achieve desired outcomes.


Build a multi-year global I&D strategy to create an inclusive culture, driving inclusive behaviors, and improving representation so that Avanade reflects the clients we serve.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop strategies, tactics, and measures to increase representation in underrepresented employee segments.

Lead the I&D team to develop and deliver learning programs that build capabilities across the organization to create inclusion.

Collaborate with business leaders, including the C-Suite, to develop I&D plans for their respective businesses and to track results over time.

Partner with Accenture and Microsoft I&D leaders to leverage capabilities across the joint venture parent companies.

Integrate I&D into organizational processes and practices.

Create measurement systems to monitor progress against desired outcomes.

Provide a credible voice and process consultation to business leaders on Inclusion and Diversity issues.

Enable Avanade’s vibrant employee network and affinity group communities to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Build value-based relationships within Human Resources and across the business.

Act as a subject matter authority in I&D by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a systemic approach that enables Avanade to capitalize on I&D for global business success.


  • Proven success implementing innovative I&D solutions affecting positive I&D change at a large scale in a global organization
  • Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is essential.
  • Shown experience leading large-scale culture change in a complex matrixed organization.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actions that deliver desired outcomes.
  • Understands the difference between activity and impact.
  • Able to influence others to achieve solutions to meet organization's objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues, and overcoming hurdles to results
  • Demonstrated skills on the following areas: Project management focused on outcomes, systems thinking, data and situational analysis, cross group coordination across all levels of the organization
  • Strong business affinity, with the ability to speak their language and translate I&D programs into measurable outcomes
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to tenaciously focus on the two or three critical organizational levers to affect positive outcomes
