As a Director and the West Territory Lead within our Business Applications organization you will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance and growth of the Business Applications Services Offering including:  Retail, Core Financial & Procurement, Distribution, Health, Manufacturing, Project-based, Utilities, Heavy Equipment, Managed Services, Migration Services, Dynamics CE and Sitecore. Within a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, you will engage across a Global organization with Regional, Advisory and Client Account Partners, to identify and grow new and existing opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Executive Leading the Business Applications Market Unit for Avanade Canada, you will have Sales and Revenue responsibility and provide quality assurance and issue resolution to protect engagement and corporate reputation! You will work with a team of Regional and Area leaders to determine the strategy for offering identification and investment opportunities and drive strategic changes to the portfolio in response to business needs with a goal of helping our clients achieve groundbreaking innovation in their digital portfolios and bring positive return on investment’s to their client base.

As a leader, you will partner across our technical & sales teams, regions, innovation studios and with our marquis industry partners (Accenture & Microsoft) to direct and lead regional teams through the full lifecycle of solution development, execution, sales and delivery.

You will manage, lead and develop a geographically dispersed engineering team (+15) with capabilities spanning development, testing, functional business analysis and technical writers with growth intent based on demand and business justification. You will ensure a carefully led sales and delivery process resulting in successful client engagements partnering with Avanade’s internal Legal teams to ensure the avoidance of risk and compliance.

You will collaborate with the regional and territory leadership and delivery teams to provide end to end solution crafting and determine focus on marquis accounts and best-in-class bids. You will provide “hands on” support to territory sales team with their solution creation and sales strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in roles of progressing responsibility within premier professional services/management consulting or technology firm delivering complex business technology solutions for client organizations
  • 5+ years of proven budget, people and/or business leadership experience
  • 2+ years of focus on Business Applications Solutions: partnering with Fortune 1000 clients to optimize workplace technologies and physical environments to increase efficiency and collaboration to improve employee experience and operations using Cloud
  • Experience minimizing security exposure, ensure compliance, and maintaining customer trust.
  • 5+ years of experience leading the pursuit of multi-million-dollar engagements (Retail, Core Financial & Procurement, Distribution, Health, Manufacturing, Project-based, Utilities, Heavy Equipment, Managed Services, Migration Services and CE) to positive closure and maintaining the relationship through the delivery phase resulting in repeat client business.
  • Experience implementing and applying “outstanding” sales principles and practices, including business development, marketing, and complex channel management
  • Experience collaborating with off-shore teams and delivery
  • BA/BS degree (or country equivalent) or 7+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience crafting Intellectual Capital via White papers, marketing collateral etc.
  • Master’s degree
