Are you an experienced Service Designer who is passionate about services that make a measurable impact on people's everyday lives? Avanade is looking for a senior level Service Designer to launch, incubate and scale up our Dublin based offering.

The role 

The remit of a service designer at Avanade is to take a holistic approach to services, products, and business.  
Service Design Managers take lead roles on projects as well as guiding, mentoring, and helping to shape the careers of more junior team members. 
They approach briefs, challenges, and opportunities through a wide-angle lens in order to understand and design for the bigger picture of experiences. 


You can: 

  • Spearhead the analysis, research, and visualize of a client problem to articulate a creative design solution  
  • Design and facilitate design thinking workshops  
  • Manage design teams on projects while partnering with client by developing deep understanding about user needs, design goals & objectives and project requirements  
  • Manage scope and efforts for the project while taking care of delivery timeline, demos, and development handovers    
  • Inspire others  


You may: 

  • Gain alignment between internal/ client design teams, stakeholders and identify the critical success factors   
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of core best practice, disciplines, and delivery model   
  • Contribute to deal shaping and presenting compelling stories for a winning pitch.  
  • Advocate for Service Design within Avanade

  • Explain Service Design gains to external clients 



  • 8+ years’ experience of Interaction Design and/or Service Design across varied users, business problems, and devices.  
  • 6+ year of experience planning, designing, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops.  
  • 5+ years' experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.  
  • 5+ years creating experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, fows, and wireframes.  
  • 5+ years' experience with rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes.  
  • 5+ years' requirements gathering and communication between all design teams, workstreams and clients.
