About you
You’re a natural communicator and trusted technology advisor who wants to help our partners on their Modern Workplace journey. You will help improve employee mobility, productivity, collaboration, and security leveraging your deep experience in end-user device management, Office 365, and ideally Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS). Your great interpersonal and communication skills help technical and non-technical clients engage with often complex information. You will also have an Active NV1 Security clearance.
About the job
As a Modern Workplace Expert, you focus on communication and collaboration systems, and workplace services including desktop solutions, collaboration technologies, voice solutions and enablement of secure remote working environments. Additionally, you apply your expertise in technical and consulting knowledge to advise clients on proper governance to ensure stability, and to enable them to evolve their environments to support changing business requirements.
Day to day, you will:
Take a lead part in all project phases – Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test
Partner with the technology and design teams to turn strategies into solutions
Create and adapt Infrastructure solutions
Define projects’ documentation, including design, build and operations guides, as well as the management processes, procedures and toolsets
Manage change plans to ensure projects are delivered and deployed successfully, guiding your team to use global resources effectively
Lead and support your clients to transform their technology landscapes
Work with global and offshore teams
Support your junior team members by evaluating their performance, providing feedback, coaching and providing career guidance
Travel as required.
Your skills
You are a skilled communicator, with good written and spoken English, who can convey sometimes complex information to technical and non-technical partners. You collaborate with your colleagues locally and globally to make full use of their knowledge and experience to develop effective strategies and solutions.
Your technical skills and experience may include:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint & OneDrive) including on-premises and tenant-tenant migrations
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & Config Manager) inclusive of Co-Management, Windows Autopilot
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Windows 365
- Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD)
- Windows 10/11, iOS, Android, macOS Endpoints
- Active Directory & Azure Active Directory
- Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity & Office 365)
- Infrastructure as Code / Automation / Scripting (ARM / PowerShell)
Your non-technical skills include:
- Experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, including estimation models, scoping, development of budgetary estimates and proposals along with writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
- Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex business topics to both executive and technical stakeholders.
- An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers.
Preferred Education Background:
You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems or a related field.
Microsoft Certification – Microsoft 365 Certified in one or more areas – Modern Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop, Enterprise Administrator, Messaging Administrator or Teamwork Administrator
Preferred Years of Work Experience:
- Over 5 years relevant technology experience including solution and delivery particularly within a consultancy or systems integrator
