About you:

As a Group Manager, Managed Services Business Development, you are responsible for prospecting, developing and closing net new business in Microsoft focused Managed Services.

You will work collaboratively with Market Unit leadership and sales teams to understand and demonstrate the portfolio of accounts, pipeline opportunities, and define the strategy to build a services footprint and close managed services deals. You will be encouraged to protect and grow relationships with existing clients through effective and regular interactions and sales campaigns.

You will engage with support teams throughout the sales process to drive origination of services opportunities and execute the overall business case, pursuit, and opportunity strategy. This includes opportunity assessment, solution crafting, proposing and selling to the client, and driving opportunities to closure.

Day-to-day, you will:

    • Prospect, shape, and qualify "Managed Services" sales opportunities.
    • Actively lead or be involved in building the opportunity business case and be responsible for the sales lifecycle of the deal to closure.
    • Follow Avanade’s sales processes in a timely and professional manner (CRM, Opportunity Qualification, Client/Account Planning, etc.).
    • Guide solutioning teams in completion of required deal artefacts.
    • Drives Managed Services sales to reach targets assigned.
    • Complete selling activities such as orals, presentations and others as required.
    • Balanced Services Pipeline Generation including the accurate forecasting of upcoming work and pipeline.
    • Works with other roles to maximise Avanade’s overall influence and potential within strategic accounts.
    • Drives understanding of client needs, organisation, and key decision-makers to support successful sales engagements.

Your technical and non-technical skills include:

    • High level of understanding of industry Managed Services solutions and how they relate to Microsoft products and technology services
    • Strong background in selling, negotiating, and closing Managed Services solutions engagements in both individual and team environments
    • Commercially astute with experience in positioning SLA based service led propositions in the industry.
    • Confirmed experience in running sales pipeline and exceeding sales quotes
    • Shown thought leadership in the Managed Services area and knowledge of industry trends within a Microsoft Framework
    • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
    • Based in major city in targeted area with ability to travel frequently

You will likely possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, sales or marketing (or relevant field) or an advanced degree (M.B.A. or equivalent). You likely have 10+ years in professional services, preferably with Microsoft products and experience selling or delivering led services solutions
