[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeks Web Architects in New York, NY to support our organization in providing leading-edge interactive technology solutions to our clients. The position(s) will be responsible for leading the efforts of an Agile, cross-functional technology team in the design, testing, implementation and administration of interactive technologies and applications such as web services, enterprise portals, and web applications. Duties include: participating in brainstorming, technical planning, and design sessions to define technical/operational/user requirements; crafting the technical vision by mapping requirements to technical solutions as communicated through functional/technical design documents; articulating execution strategy through road maps, estimates, and implementation plans; utilizing HTML5 APIs and JavaScript standards to coordinate the build of single page web application prototypes/proofs of concepts to validate technical decisions; implementing challenging, core components using JavaScript frameworks such as React.JS, Angular, and NodeJS; overseeing the work of and appropriately leveraging onshore/offshore teams across all project phases (Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test); engaging in project management of various initiatives such as work estimation, planning, and stakeholder management; and maintaining effective and beneficial client interaction that includes proposal development, management of change requirements, and fostering relationships. Travel to client sites is required 80% of the average work week. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of New York, NY.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. **Alternatively, in lieu of a bachelor's degree and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience, the employer will accept seven (7) years of experience in the job offered, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. The employer deems that any suitable combination of education or experience is acceptable.** A qualified applicant’s experience must including the following skills: 5 years of experience participating in full SDLC within an agile project management methodology utilizing standard DevOps tooling; 5 years of experience developing software applications utilizing NodeJS, ASP.NET MVC, or Java-based web server technologies; 5 years of experience designing and building enterprise software solutions using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS or React.JS; 3 years of experience building single page web applications; and 2 years of experience leading technical teams in the implementation/deployment of web platform technologies within a Scrum methodology.
