About the role: 

As a Senior leader, you will embrace disruption, possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have a passion for harnessing the possibilities that digital transformation plays in driving greater customer insight and intimacy. This is a strategic leadership role within Avanade’s European Advisory Services organisation,with the remit to grow and lead a team of consultants who work closely with Avanade’s enterprise clients with the specific purpose of accelerating the achievement of business objectives through a roadmap of pragmatic digital transformation. The Senior Director will be responsible for advising clients on their digital strategy and how to transition their businesses to become a player in the digital world.  Headline responsibilities include: 
▪ Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership in digital transformation, keep abreast of digital transformation trends and innovative approaches to operational excellence. Drive ideation and co-innovation programmes from front end CX to large scale IT transformation. 

▪ Business Development: Develop and extend major client relationships at the CxO level through a prominent professional network, previous client impact, and domain expertise. 

▪ Project Delivery: She/he will be responsible for value architecting and realization around technology enabled change programmes and developing high level technology roadmaps and strategies. Around 30% of the Senior Directors time will be spent in delivering business advisory and projects, especially around operating model design and implementation, connecting business strategy to operational execution with quantifiable results. Provide strategy & consulting services, devising, architecting and implementing roadmaps for end-to-end digital transformation engagements. Ensure project results are delivered to the quality expected. 

▪ Practice Development: Support the European Advisory Services practice growth, nurturing and developing talent, assets and intellectual capital. 

▪ Firm Development: Play an active role in influencing and shaping the go to market of the wider Nordics firm – focusing on Sweden in the first instance. Collaborate across the firm to harness our capabilities and communities effectively. 

Key accountabilities include:

▪ Responsibility for driving digital services and key business metrics through partnering with Sales, Marketing and Delivery across the Nordics but initially focused on Sweden. 

▪ Delivering year-on-year revenue growth by winning new business and expanding existing client relationships, with the aim of achieving the significant potential of Avanade digital services. 
▪ Innovating, inspiring, selling and deploying digital transformational engagements with large enterprise customers. 
▪ Expand, develop, attract and retain key talent in the team. 
▪ Deliver strategic client projects and programmes, dedicating about 30% of your time to billable delivery. 
▪ Build and lead geographic teams across Sweden and Denmark initially, possibly expanding into other Nordic countries in the near term.  

Specific Skills & Knowledge: 

You will be a highly innovative, inspirational and creative thinker and practice builder, able to support a digital consulting workforce to devise and design digital transformation programs.  
You will engage with all levels of Avanade Advisory’s customers, so it is essential that you possess superior communication skills and will be seen as an expert in adapting messages to line-of-business and technical stakeholders, so they understand the value of digital transformation led by Avanade.  
You will be capable of managing multi-disciplined virtual teams across Avanade Advisory to drive a compelling vision of solutions. As a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial flare, you will be focused on results and business outcomes with demonstrable experience of already devising digital transformation strategies.

In addition, you will: 

▪ Be a respected senior digital advisory with a practice build mindset. Someone who can propel Avanade’s Advisory Services to a market leading position in the Nordics by expanding existing client engagements and building new relationships and opportunities. 

▪ Bring a strong services leader with excellent “soft” skill such as empathy, listening, self-awareness and communicating in different methods dependent on individual preferences. 

▪ Experience of one of Avanade’s key solution areas, particularly Modern Workplace, would be highly valued as substantial growth is expected in this area. 

▪ Proven business leadership alongside the ability to nurture and retain talented people,  ideally obtained within a Consulting Services organisation.  

▪ Demonstrable skills of internal partnering and collaboration both locally and globally. 

▪ Experience of business case production, digital transformation, ROI, organisational change management, enterprise architecture, portfolio management and governance. 
▪ Possess a deep foundation in both business change and the technology enablement that underpins it, combined with finely tuned business acumen able to interpret and articulate how technology adoption can help Avanade Advisory’s clients evolve and adapt. 

Candidate Profile: 
▪ Currently in a Senior Consulting position within a Consulting, Technology or Corporate environment with a background of advising, architecting and executing digital transformation strategies. 

▪ Client facing, commercially astute, business winner & practice builder, comfortable with C-level consulting engagement. 

▪ Background of building senior level advisory relationships with existing and potential clients; converting relationships with executives into long-term consulting relationships that extend across multiple assignments over time. 

▪ Experience of a disciplined approach to new business development activities and compelling pursuit strategies in support of aggressive growth plans.

▪ Operational expertise, ability to command credibility from clients having worked in an operational role delivering transformative results through technology/digital transformation. 

▪ Already a core member of a leadership team responsible for providing strategy & consulting services, devising, architecting and delivering innovation strategies and roadmaps for end to end digital transformation engagements. 

▪ Knowledge of Microsoft technologies an added benefit, especially modern workplace technology platforms and services including Microsoft 365 (Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security), Azure and an appreciation of RPA, AI and MR

▪ Business level Swedish and English language skills are highly desireable
