Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Senior Consultant, you will provide counsel to HR partners, management and employees on a variety of topics/programs in support of the assigned business unit(s). This role will collaborate with stakeholders on the development and implementation of existing, new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures designed to recruit, retain and reward Avanade’s talented workforce.  The Sr. Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the business and compensation strategies align to support the Human Resources people strategy.  Additionally, this role will also ensure that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations thorough audits, reports, and personal contact.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Day-to-day you will:
-Collaborate with the team on the design and administration of compensation programs (salary administration, short-term/long-term incentives, executive compensation, expatriate compensation).

-Provide proactive market / pay practice analytics and benchmarking in order to inform management and support compensation strategy development.
-Provide advice to HR partners on pay decisions, policy, and guideline interpretation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related business issues.
-Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting compensation information to HR and Management.

-Manage projects such as program design, analysis, budgeting, implementation of new programs, benchmarking analysis, compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions, etc.
-Create communication materials and strategies to inform stakeholders on programs, events, processes, etc.

-Build manager capability in communicating compensation and making compensation decisions by developing and delivering education and training programs. 

-Monitor the effectiveness of existing plans, programs policies, processes and procedures and make recommendations when necessary to support the needs of the business and compensation trends.

-Keep up-to-date on federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance.

-Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:

-Advanced knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations
-Possess a mathematical aptitude and analysis skills
-Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, both verbal and written
-Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with top management.
-MS Office expertise; specifically, must be an expert user with Excel
-Demonstrated success in a dynamic, frequently changing, and geographically diverse environment.
-Knowledge of international compensation and salary requirements

Preferred Education Background:

Possess a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Psychology. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.

Preferred Years of Work Experience:

You likely have about 3-5 years of experience in Compensation
