Job Description

As a Business Analysis Senior Consultant, you will contribute to and own portions of the customer engagement process including, relationship building and maintenance, stakeholder identification, and needs assessment.

You will facilitate requirements gathering, analysis, management, and the creation of the BA project and communications plans. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of quality measures and tracking. You will be responsible for facilitating the identification and communication of risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope. Overall, you will provide enhanced contributions with and without supervision, demonstrate formalized knowledge of many BA techniques, and guide/mentor all lower-level analysts in daily work.

Key Role Responsibilities:           

Day-to-day you will:

            Contribute to and possess a secondary ownership of project approach development including, communication plan and approval acquisitions

            Own the stakeholder identification, analysis, mapping, and documentation processes

            Assume partial leadership of customer relationship management including, responsibility for stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution

            Contribute to business case assessment, development, and documentation

            Own requirements traceability and structuring capability: ensuring traceability is complete, thorough, and communicated appropriately across requirements and subsequent activities

            Participate in change control process and requirements management

            Identify and facilitate communication and meetings regarding risks, issues, and appropriate responses

            Participate in determining solution performance metrics and learn how to perform measurements and analysis of data

            Partially owns team metrics quality

            Fully up to date with techniques and possess the ability to recognize gaps and collaborate with others to drive results, as well as the recognition and communication of opportunities for improvement

            Lead the transfer of functional requirements to development and test team members

            Lead the test execution of delivered requirements

            Show the ability to acquire additional knowledge on a project, to think analytically, and take initiative in engaging team and customers with critical questions

            Craft a Business Analysis and/or analysis work breakdown structure (WBS) for Analyst-level roles and self, demonstrating an understanding of standard and non-standard tasks for specific types of analysis activities

            Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills

            Proven ability to identify and communicate project issues and risks

            Cultivates customer relationships with project counterparts, and in some cases with senior client managers

            Proven ability to communicate effectively with partners and customers

            Ability to lead a project team of 2-3 people for short engagements

            Ability to mentor and support the learning of other lower-level resources

            Good time management and organizational skills

            Demonstrated experience contributing to the creation and execution of project plans

            Proven knowledge of the content and purpose of project communications plans

            Demonstrated ability to apply BA knowledge independently

            Leadership ability such that they can direct work on some parts of requirements delivery

            Ability and willingness to mentor lower-level resources

            Understands basics of ROI delivery, and how to map financial investment with solution options

            Self-starter, able to complete assigned tasks on time

            Detail oriented in approach to tasks and deliverables

            Contributes to team members and/or team success

            Passionate about IT projects and learning new technologies

            Passionate about the value and capabilities of Business Analysis profession

            Prior experience in Azure DevOps preferred

Preferred Certifications: 

Professional Scrum Master (PSM1) and Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)

Preferred Education Background:

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Years of Work Experience:

You likely possess at least 4+ years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Years of Management Experience:      

1+ years
