Role Overview:

In the Service Operations role family, you are involved with delivering reliable systems performance, and ensuring infrastructure teams follow best practices in implementing and maintaining Avanade infrastructure. Additionally, you will be required to have an application of deep technical knowledge to resolve advanced issues, synthesizing technologies to create a holistic approach to solving problems, and improving the business.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Day-to-day, your responsibilities include:

  • Contributing expertise to short and long-term planning that ensure infrastructure operations capacity meets current and future network enterprise requirements.
  • Developing and implementing cloud/hybrid initiatives, ensuring that virtualized systems meeting technical, business, and budgetary objectives
  • Planning, designing, implementing and testing infrastructure changes and enhancements to the production environment; especially important for new technologies with little support history
  • Resolving moderate-to-complex problems and issues through, diagnosis, root-cause elimination activity, escalation, and problem-solving skills
  • Analyzing and assess the impact and risk of medium-to-high risk changes on production systems
  • Leading service failure analysis when availability issues arise
  • Ensuring business continuity through the implementation of best practice security principles
  • Evaluating ITS processes, Avanade infrastructure designs, and new technologies to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:

  • Knowledge on SQL Server HA Architecture and Design, Active Directory, AD FS (federated authentication with SharePoint and D365)
  • Experience installing/configuring Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 system (on-premises with IFD) and Microsoft SharePoint 2013 SP1 on-premises (or a later version)

  • Experience working with offshore teams to facilitate project work
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form

Preferred Certifications:

MCSA: Windows Server 2016

Preferred Education Background:

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.

Preferred Years of Work Experience:

2+ year of prior related work experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment

Scope of Work:

Primarily focused on own work, and execution of prescribed work plans.
