Senior AI and IoT Technical Solution Architect

[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeks a Senior AI and IoT Technical Solution Architect in Seattle, WA to work directly with our clients to translate their business strategies into solutions and services using IoT, AI, and Data Analytics. You will: translate business requirements to technical solutions leveraging strong business acumen; work closely with the Avanade Sales teams and partner organizations to help sell, implement and support Data & AI projects within the regions; work alongside the Executive Data & AI Solution Area Leaders, Areas and Global teams to develop strategy for Avanade’s Data & AI Offering to achieve revenue, growth, and organizational targets; develop Avanade’s global Data & AI capabilities of the analytics workforce through trainings and mentoring of more junior team members in data science, consulting and advisory skills; lead project teams in the implementation of AI & IoT projects to develop client roadmaps, problem building, integrating AI & IoT processes throughout business functions and the development of additional strategies to meet client requirements; bring innovation and new technology offerings and proposals to ensure Avanade remains relevant in helping clients capitalize in new areas to ensure our current business practice, processes, and procedures are positioned to capture future business opportunities through leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services; support the development of the company brand through participation in communities, blogs, forums or other public domains under the headline of data science, IoT, analytics or related topics; develop partner relationships with Microsoft and Accenture in the AI, IoT segment, as well as cultivate other strategic partnerships with technology and software companies, research groups and industry think-tanks; develop new complex Data & AI Solution Architectures end-to-end specific to client needs, including the designing of solutions, identifying risks, and defining project scope; take a lead role in client project delivery to help client engagements through to a commercially successful conclusion by building and implementing the latest cutting-edge AI & IoT solutions within Microsoft Azure space (such as Azure IoT, Digital Twin and MLOps) and working directly with clients from planning all the way through to productionalizing AI & IoT solutions. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of Seattle, WA. Travel is presently restricted to client-essential activity only but may increase based on business needs.
The position requires at least a master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Engineering (Any), Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field, plus at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or a related role in an IT consulting capacity. The qualified applicant’s experience must include the following: 2 years of experience building, designing, and delivering AI and IoT architectures; 2 years of experience translating IoT business challenges while leading project teams of 5-10 people; 2 years of experience designing AI and data solutions utilizing MLOps, Azure ML Pipelines, Azure IoT, Digital Twin, Analytics PaaS Services, and Microsoft Azure Data; 2 years of experience delivering large AI & IoT implementations for multiple stakeholders across strict requirements and time constraints; and 2 years of experience working with business development to help sell and support AI & IoT projects across the spectrum of business and strategy skills (use case development and roadmaps) to technical architecture and project solutions.
