Job Description

As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will review and approve test plans/scripts to ensure alignment with standards and the IT strategy. You will collaborate with users to plan user acceptance, alpha and beta tests. You will monitor that system tests are completed and detailed optimally and that all problems are corrected, repeating the cycle until the application under test reaches the desired level of acceptance.


Day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver and leads test planning and execution activities
  • Provide operational leadership for others on accurate QA processes at a basic level, and develop high-performing team through communication and teamwork skills
  • Author basic test matrices from business/technical requirements
  • Design, build, edit and update automated test scripts with minimal supervision (if applicable)
  • Lead QA teams in various projects
  • Facilitate artefact review / inspection meetings, identifying issues and providing feedback
  • Identify QA Process issues and raise appropriately
  • Help to identify client needs to support the sales effort when required
  • Work with all SDLC related teams and resolve conflicts surrounding issues and broker quality focused resolutions

Your technical and non-technical skills may include:

  • Proficiency on manual test execution tasks related to test scripts/cases and defects
  • Advanced understanding of QA activities in relation to systems development lifecycle
  • Reading business requirements, building test cases, test script libraries, tracking bugs, assisting in crafting test frameworks
  • Experience with/using the following technologies: Selenium Web-driver, Robot Framework, Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, JMeter, Blazemeter, Postman, BrowserStack
  • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies
  • Practiced with API, Mobile and Web application testing
  • Experience with programming, scripting, performance testing
  • Experience with development standards and SDLC processes/methods
  • Mentoring and spearheading work efforts of more junior colleagues and team members as the need arises.

You likely possess a university degree, but it is not required in lieu of work experience

8+ Years of relevant work experience

Additional Requirement:

  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Security Clearance (CBR)
