Sr Director, Region Market Unit Lead- Data & AI

About the role:

Market Units are Avanade's GTM Model and are the areas clients most frequently seek our mentorship during their digital transformation. You get to be responsible for the overall strategy, performance and growth of the 'Data & AI' Market Unit (or MU) in your assigned regional geography of the West. Using advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI, we help clients gain business insights to optimize their operations, drive innovation, and make more empowered decisions.

The strategy you develop includes oversight and delivery against sales and financial performance measures in your regional MU. In partnership with regional execs and the Area MU Data & AI Lead, you’ll strategize future offering investments to grow the business. You're able to imagine & grow full-spectrum, cross-Market Unit solutions delivery for clients. You will partner with your West Talent Community Lead and Regional Capability Lead on hiring, staffing, resourcing and skills needs/growth in the West. In addition, you deftly optimize use of our Global Delivery Network (GDN) and delight in measuring your successful client outcomes. Lastly, your keen eye is always preparing for future market innovations and next level growth in your MU.

Day-to-day:

Actively collaborate with business development teams and your peer Market Unit Leads to drive complex offerings to our clients. Your expertise can be lent in all stages of the deal pursuit, review and approval, plan your spending against assigned Area/Region metrics. Your business expertise also provides forecasting and sales pipeline analysis to support processes, Lead solution planning and design efforts across teams and workstreams to deliver measurable value for our clients, ensuring client happiness. We partner with executive level clients, ensuring they receive required engagement value.

About you

You’re a natural business developer, with experience growing a technology service line of business through strategy, sales contribution and the ability to establish a presence within a target market and key clients. You have track record for developing, growing and nurturing long term, high value client business outcomes using your strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.

In addition, here's your ideal professional background:

Experience with sales principles and practices, including business development, marketing, and complex channel management.

Ability to effectively team with peers in a large, matrixed organizations, including significant experience with off-shore teams and delivery Experience delivering solutions for client organizations through complex solutions / projects with heavy client interaction.

Strong consulting / project-based background, including assessing and running the opportunity and risk associated with large scale, complex projects.

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree or MBA is strongly preferred, particularly technical (IT, engineering, or related).

You likely have about more than 12 years' of progressive technology background including solution sales, creation, delivery and business management, practice building and expansion and more than 5 years of people and/or business leadership experience definitely in the professional services realm. Bottom line you love creating, building and helping an established practice to thrive even more!
