Avanade brings industry and domain expertise to pragmatically assess, recommend, deploy and manage the most appropriate security propositions (solutions) to help our clients become cyber-compliant and cyber-resilient on the Microsoft ecosystem.


Avanade is seeking an experienced, passionate, and client-centric Leader to join our Global Solution Areas Business Unit and become our Offering Lead, Cybersecurity Strategy and Risk (GRC).  In this role, on a global scale, you will drive and grow Avanade’s GRC-related business by developing strategies that help formulate and deliver our clients’ transformative risk management strategies.  As the Strategy and Risk Domain Lead, you will define the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) offerings and lead the development of assets that support these offerings. This leader will “evangelize” our GRC portfolio by developing and communicating our point of view as a champion for our offerings.


As a strategic and hands on leader within a global and highly matrixed team, you will define, implement, and drive end-to-end design, incubation and industrialization of cutting-edge GRC offerings. Supported by a team of technical professionals, you’ll lead the creation of new solutions from incubation, of the most promising ideas, to proof-of-concepts, through commercialization and deployment of innovative business applications. 


Because this is a global role, you will develop strategies and offerings that support clients who require adherence to a wide range of industry- and regulatory-compliance control requirements.


You will leverage the most sophisticated tools to provide insights to crucial business decisions and embed GRC offerings, mindsets, and approaches in larger digital transformation strategies.  Partnering with multiple stakeholders across multiple geographies and industries for scoping, managing and implementing projects you will leverage broad domain knowledge to solution and lead large scale, complex projects for enterprise clients. You will build, implement, drive, and execute strategies that result in business growth and increase our client successes by delivering innovative security solutions leveraging the Microsoft portfolio of GRC solutions. You will collaborate with Avanade’s direct sales teams throughout the entire sales life cycle to ensure positive outcomes that drive innovation across our client’s organizations.

  • Direct cybersecurity offerings by leading design thinking, strategic roadmap, architectural vision and thought leadership

  • Originate, develop, and grow exceptional internal and external client relationships

  • Be known for your “client centric” approach and delivery excellence.

  • Partner with Avanade’s regional security leaders and client leads, ISV partners and our parent companies, Accenture and Microsoft

  • Focus on hiring and developing top-tier creative, product and technology talent

  • Lead and partner across our global landscape to determine marquis accounts and premier bids where our GRC offerings can bring value add

  • Influence as a subject matter expert and change agent across the organization to educate account and business development teams to have a positive impact on client engagement and portfolio growth

  • Build, leverage, and maintain successful industry partnerships with Accenture and Microsoft with a goal of increasing Avanade market share in a methodical and collaborative model

  • Evoke passion, build, and lead diverse teams of professionals and will leverage this network to recruit the industries top talent

  • Interlock with Global Security Center of Excellence on offering/asset development

  • Drive GRC offerings in the market, effectively positioning those. offerings (and sub-offerings) with sales teams, channels, and target clients (direct and indirect)

  • Engage with leadership and clients in strategic discussions to provide outstanding cybersecurity strategy and industry guidance to improve the client’s long-term business objectives

  • Develop strong and positive relationships with Avanade’s Client Executives

  • Lead and support the delivery of a broad range of security engagements

  • Possess deep understanding of security trends and strategies for identifying risk and compliance solutions to meet client business, financial and technical objectives


Experience: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university, and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in IT security-related consulting positions selling large information security programs
  • High-level of familiarity with a range of security standards, frameworks, and regulations including but not limited to: NIST 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC27001/27002, HIPAA (HITRUST), GLBA (FFIEC), GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, EU Data Protection Directive, UK Data Protection Act, PDPA, and COBIT
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with C-level clients, assessing their goals and objectives and the ability to translate ideas into strategic and practical solution recommendations
  • Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking as well as the capacity to accept out-of-the box solutions
  • Executive-level experience in growing and leading a medium to large-scale profitable technology services business, preferably within an international environment
  • Experience in assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with complex, large-scale consulting projects
  • Ability to guide and direct teams in development, production, and promotion of solution offerings
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products
  • Experience working with global teams and/or offshore teams to facilitate project work
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
  • Strategic thinker about business issues across product areas and industries
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively
  • Current certifications from organizations such as ISC2, ISACA, SANS GIAC strongly preferred
