Avanade brings industry and domain expertise to pragmatically assess, recommend, deploy, and manage the most appropriate security propositions (solutions) to help our clients become cyber-compliant and cyber-resilient on the Microsoft ecosystem.


Avanade is seeking an experienced, passionate, and client-centric leader to join our Global Solution Areas Business Unit and become our Offering Lead, Cybersecurity Identity for Workplace.  In this role, you will be responsible for the growth Avanade’s Identity for Workplace-related business by developing strategies that utilize industry leading direction while focusing on the needs of our clients.  As the Identity for Workplace Offering Lead, you will define the offerings and develop supporting assets. You will “evangelize” our Identity for Workplace portfolio by communicating our point of view as a champion of the domain.


Supported by a team of technical professionals, you will prioritize and lead the creation of new solutions from incubation to proof-of-concepts. Because this is a global role, you will develop strategies and offerings that support clients who require adherence to a wide range of industry and regulatory-compliance control requirements.


To succeed, you will partner with stakeholders across multiple geographies in a cross-matrixed organization that relies on building support in other groups. You will build, implement, drive, and execute strategies that result in business growth and increase our client successes by delivering innovative security solutions leveraging the Microsoft Identity stack, as well as key strategic partners. You will collaborate with Avanade’s direct sales teams throughout the entire sales life cycle to ensure positive outcomes that drive value across our client’s organizations.


Within a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, you will:

  • Direct cybersecurity offerings by leading design thinking, strategic roadmap, architectural vision, and thought leadership

  • Working closely with Avanade’s Workplace Solution Leads, you originate, develop, and grow exceptional internal and external client relationships

  • You are known for your “client centric” approach and delivery excellence

  • Partner with Avanade’s Regional Security Leaders and Client Leads, ISV partners, and our parent companies, Accenture and Microsoft, with a goal of increasing Avanade market share in a methodical and collaborative model

  • Focus on hiring and developing top-tier creative, product and technology talent

  • Lead and partner across our global landscape to determine marquis accounts and premier bids where our Identity for Workplace offerings can bring value add

  • Think strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution

  • Influence as a subject matter expert and change agent across the organization to educate account and business development teams to have a positive impact on client engagement and portfolio growth

  • Adapt to shifting goals and activities

  • Willing to take risks to develop a business in unchartered waters

  • Evoke passion, build, and lead diverse teams of professionals that will leverage this network to recruit the industries top talent

  • Interlock with Global Security Center of Excellence on offering/asset development

  • Drive Identity for Workplace offerings in the market, effectively positioning those offerings and sub-offerings with sales teams, channels, and target clients (direct and indirect)

  • Engage with leadership and clients in strategic discussions to provide outstanding cybersecurity strategy and industry guidance to improve the client’s long-term business objectives

  • Develop strong and positive relationships with Avanade’s client executives

  • Support the delivery of a broad range of security engagements

  • Possess deep understanding of security trends and strategies to meet client business, financial, and technical objectives

  • Capacity to develop and maintain business plans and financial models


Experience: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university, and/or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience in IT security-related consulting positions selling large information security programs

  • Deep knowledge of the following technologies and concepts: Passwordless, Identity Governance and Access Management (IGAM), B2C/B2B, Privileged Access/Identity Management (PAM/PIM), Incident Response, MFA Techniques, Adaptive Authentication, modern and legacy Authentication Protocols (e.g. SAML/OAUTH, LDAP, header-based), Federation Services, Virtual Directories, etc

  • Familiarity with Microsoft products and related ecosystem vendors, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Hybrid Identity Model, Conditional Access, Insider Threat, Red Forest, Azure PIM, Azure Identity Protection (AIP), IGAM products such as Saviynt, One Identity, CyberArk, Thycotic, Yubico, Microsoft Hello For Business, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with C-level clients, assessing their goals and objectives and the ability to translate ideas into strategic and practical solution recommendations

  • Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking, as well as the capacity to accept out-of-the box solutions

  • Excellent product and platform instincts coupled with a passion for people, business, and technology while delivering a world-class customer experience

  • Executive-level experience in growing and leading a medium to large-scale profitable technology services business, preferably within an international environment

  • Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services

  • Experience working with global teams and/or offshore teams to facilitate project work

  • Experience in assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with complex, large-scale consulting projects

  • Ability to guide and direct teams in development, production, and promotion of solution offerings

  • Familiarity with a range of security standards, frameworks, and regulations including but not limited to: NIST 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC27001/27002, HIPAA (HITRUST), GLBA (FFIEC), GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, EU Data Protection Directive, UK Data Protection Act, PDPA, and COBIT

  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Preferred: Current certifications from organizations such as ISC2, ISACA, SANS GIAC, and Microsoft
