Job Description

The L&D Intern role will support the Learning function with delivery of projects that impact all Avanade employees. This is an opportunity to get involved in a variety of multi-disciplinary projects aligned to skill development at Avanade. The right candidate will work alongside the Learning and Development team to deliver projects which are focused on data analytics, skill and behavior modeling, content and training research and training development and deployment.

 

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Data analysis of job skills by role which are aligned to a talent framework
  • Content design and development for team presentations
  • Conduct internal interviews and data gathering sessions with internal stakeholders
  • Conduct market research on Sales Skills trends in the IT and professional services industries
  • Review and recommend training from the Accenture ecosystem, Avanade LMS and Microsoft resources.
  • Coordination of meetings and special events
  • Manage one or more projects

·        An innovative mindset and willingness to try new tools and approaches to learning.

  • Awareness of and ability to work with industry standard instructional design models.
  • An ability to independently review and refine the look, feel, and usability of learning content to improve the learner experience.
  • Ability to learn industry-standard course development tools.

 

Job Location: Seattle*

You must reside locally and be able to work in our Seattle office location during the academic year.

 

Work Hours: 20 to 40 hrs. per week

Flexibility around the hours for ad hoc adjustments due to exams, etc.

Targeted Start Date: December 2019

Academic requirements:

·        Actively pursuing a graduate or post graduate degree in one of the following areas: 

§  Human Resources

§  Industrial Organizational (IO) Psychology 

§  Leadership Development

§  Organizational Design

§  Talent Management 

§  Change Management

§  Business Communications

§  Similar business degree

·        Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above 

 
Your skill set and experience likely includes:

·        Data analytics and statistical knowledge

·        Experience conducting simple quantitative and qualitative analysis

·        organization/ task management: being able to manage various workstreams in parallel

·        Proven verbal communications skills- able to effectively work with leadership and other team members

·        Strong written communication skills

·        Some experience in managing large complex projects

·        Excellent research and analysis skills

·        Instructional design or content development

·        MS Excel – e.g., proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and beyond

·        MS PowerPoint skills -an eye for detail on formatting and graphics/charts

·        Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and independently

·        Basic understanding of the principles of organizational development and change management and Learning Development
