PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

The Alliance marketing manager will be responsible for the European Alliances marketing strategy, executing and driving alliance marketing for Avanade and partnering with our Microsoft and Accenture colleagues at a corporate level across Europe. This will be accomplished by:

Stakeholder management

Working closely with key senior stakeholders across Avanade, Accenture and Microsoft the Alliance marketing lead will have two primary areas of focus: (1) Bringing the Avanade alliance marketing vision to life both internally and externally; and (2) Collaborating with Accenture and Microsoft to shape and drive the strategy development and plan implementation for the Accenture Microsoft Business Group.

Content and brand visibility

  • Being the face of Avanade alliance marketing in Europe with Accenture and Microsoft counterparts, building strong working relationships within Accenture and Microsoft marketing, providing visibility and promotion of Avanade’s brand, messaging, global marketing campaigns and content and helping Avanade marketers make the right connections and build our network.
  • Leveraging and working with other key business Alliance roles within Avanade, understanding the demands of the business, gathering insight and translating these business needs into the wider marketing plan.
  • Manages all European communications into Microsoft and Accenture including; regular content into Accenture to remind them of the importance of Microsoft and sharing client success stories, external announcements (press releases and inclusions into research papers etc), executive communications and presentations, client win slides, internal Po3 sites, partner of the year award submissions

Planning and Reporting

  • Responsible for the European Alliance marketing plans and overseeing creation of the Partner  marketing plans internally and externally
  • Attends and represents Alliance marketing on number of monthly internal European reporting calls
  • Member of Alliance and Partner Marketing CoE and owner of Europe’s Alliance reporting and metrics
  • Reporting to both marketing and the business around Alliance KPIs on a regular basis.
  • Managing and overseeing activity from their direct report, manager for Europe Partner marketing.
  • The individual will report to the European Head of Marketing and will have 1 direct report, Manager for European Partner marketing.
  • You will also ensure that there is strong and appropriate marketing contribution to and leverage of the Accenture Microsoft Business Group as well as alignment with Avanade’s business strategy.

Experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing in a technology industry B2B environment. Preference will be given to candidates with previous channel or alliance management experience and experience working with Microsoft and Accenture.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent stakeholder management required. Ability to negotiate and influence others in a positive way and be a change manager is a key success factor.
  • Strong strategic thinker – this role requires a person who has strong strategic leadership and also the ability to execute on tactical activity
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills
  • Be skilled at working in cross functional teams and in a virtual and collaborative environment that spans multiple time zones.
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a global, virtual and fast-paced environment, especially where things are not always black and white.
  • Excellent and advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as familiarity with Microsoft collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio etc.
