Position Purpose:  
The Director, Growth & Strategy will focus on strategy development for global business growth across both Avanade as well as the Accenture Microsoft Business Group. Work will include analyzing and planning strategic acquisitions, geographic expansion, and supporting other key strategic development efforts.  This individual must have the ability to lead processes and workstream initiatives, operate at a very high level with autonomy and executive level presence, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and be comfortable communicating with executives and senior management.  The successful candidate will also be comfortable working with ambiguity, have a high degree of resilience, and possess the ability to manage risks and challenges, launch plans, workstreams, and completion of growth initiatives across different regions.  A global growth mindset is a must! 
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development (70%)
• Drive strategy development for specific projects
• Conduct strategic analysis including analysis of primary and secondary research, interaction with senior SMEs, interviews with outside experts, market and financial ROI analysis, and analysis of risks and challenges
• Make recommendations regarding strategic development based on analysis
• Coordinate planning and strategic involvement in Due Diligence and PMI for acquisitions
• Develop executive level presentations discussing findings of strategy work and laying out options and recommendations; follow latest techniques for crafting storylines and presenting strategic information and recommendations including storyboards, graphical PowerPoint presentations, etc. 
• Provide clear direction by setting targets, prioritizing tasks, assigning responsibility and monitoring work flow • Manage and coordinate direct and virtual teams 
Process Development and Coordination (20%)
• Develop processes and coordinate activities for company metrics and scorecard effort to measure and gauge progress vs. plan
• Develop, manage and own process for strategic planning effort across Areas, Regions, and Market Units, subject matter experts and external parties from planning through implementation phase
• Develop, manage and own process for business planning effort for Areas, Regions, and Market Units from planning through budgeting and post-budget adjustment phase
• Develop and coordinate process for ongoing geographic and metropolitan expansion efforts on a global basis
• Work with team members to appropriately allocate responsibilities and ownership of deliverables and provide ongoing feedback, coaching and mentoring as appropriate to more junior level team members
• As assigned, lead and manage team members

Strategic Initiative Implementation (10%)
• Develop detailed and comprehensive implementation plans for major strategic initiatives
• Define Key Success Factors and critical milestones
• Conduct stakeholder analysis
• Conduct and coordinate internal and external research
• Analyze trends, research, and data and develop insights 
• Develop visual representations of implementation plans
• Execute and coordinate key implementation steps
• Mobilize and ensure a seamless transition between strategy development and execution in the business – including creating and overseeing the change needed to implement the strategy 
Years of Experience
• 10 -15+ years plus of experience in business strategy development and execution planning preferably across geographies – and around the world
• Top 10 consulting firm experience a plus
• Work experience with acquisition identification and pursuit is also preferred Management Experience
• 10+ years working at a leadership/management level responsible for KPI achievement Education

• MBA/Masters in Management preferred

Other Skills / Knowledge
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals and concepts, preferably within the IT Services business
• The ability and willingness to make business judgments and recommendations based on limited information
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to operate within and interact with all levels of the organization from junior staff to senior executives
• Overall business sense and analysis skills gained from education or experience within large enterprise organizations
