Digital Marketing Sales Origination Lead – South Region

About the role:

The Digital Marketing Sales Origination Lead falls within the Digital Marketing offering where our mission is to sell and ensure delivery of world-class digital experiences for our current and prospective customers. This is a heavy sales and growth mindset-focused role. The Digital Marketing Sales Origination Lead role is responsible for driving revenue through prospecting, acquisition, development and expansion of customer opportunities. This role will help develop and execute sales strategies, drive origination efforts and provide proposal support, working closely with the Digital Marketing Offering Lead.

About you:

  • Senior-level business development professional with the proven ability to deliver on sales strategy and execution of the new business pitch process
  • Manages origination of leads, building top-to-top relationships that result in new, profitable revenue opportunities
  • Outstanding ability to lead, convince and inspire in a prospecting environment: superior listening, interviewing, meeting facilitation, presentation and writing skills
  • Proven ability to navigate and leverage partners at scale (working across Accenture and Microsoft)
  • Ability to pitch across a combination of Avanade offerings, such as, advisory, creative studio & digital marketing
  • Experience across digital and traditional advertising and brand development across multiple client sector is a strongly preferred
  • Passion for building relationships that result in new, profitable revenue opportunities
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Technology, including EpiServer, Sitecore CMS, Adobe Experience Cloud, Dynamics Marketing & Microsoft Azure
  • Prior experience developing a digital strategy and vision, including digital journey mapping, leading change and collaborating with a variety of business, technology, and creative partners
  • Personable, enthusiastic, approachable, detail-oriented, able to educate internally and externally, a strong communicator, great in front of clients
  • Must be excited to run a small business within Avanade; its success is dependent on your success
  • Expresses a keen passion for where tech has been and where it’s going to empower our lives for the better
  • Works well with others, are a team player, and know when to coach and when to escalate
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

Education & Prior Work History:

  • Minimum 10 years of client services/account management experience in a creative agency with 4-5 years spent specifically in Business Development
