Avanade, a top tier consulting company, is looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our growing, collaborative Southwest Regional team.

The scope of this role is multifaceted, demanding a depth and breadth of delivery knowledge. As a business leader, you will be responsible for managing and driving front-line operations, and executing projects, programs and services.

To excel in this role, you will use your strategic outlook while maintaining a strong practical focus on day-to-day activities and changing requirements. Balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks, your monitoring and reporting processes will enable a fast response to any issue. As a great communicator, you’ll build a collaborative team, forge strong client and partner relationships, and manage stakeholder expectations internally and externally.


Responsibilities

  • 5+years’ experience in delivery technology solutions within oil and gas
  • Provide hands-on management and leadership of multiple Avanade projects concurrently
  • Develop, implement and maintain a detailed project work plan, including appropriate controls, governance structures, timelines, budget and quality outcomes
  • Manages customer and Avanade leadership expectations and project goals effectively
  • Mentor and lead Avanade and subcontractor staff assigned to the project
  • Develop and implement change enablement processes throughout the project
  • Contribute to the sales process, including estimating work effort and expenses using Avanade's standard tools
  • Engage and partner with appropriate onshore, offshore and near shore workforces, including Service Licensing Agreements (SLAs)
  • Manages RFIs/RFPs for evaluation
  • Drafts contracts and Service Level Agreements
  • Ensures that all team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of program management of multiple projects of $3M+ simultaneously; ideally in a consulting environment
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodology required
  • Experience with Waterfall methodologies.
  • MS Project experience is required
  • PMP certification preferred, but not required
  • Validated experience in people management, strategic planning and risk management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or technology-related field
  • Track record of initiative and outstanding performance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong 'Customer Focus'
  • Sets customer expectations effectively
  • Ability to quickly build relationships
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for learning cutting edge technologies
  • Prior consulting and experience (internal or external) preferred
  • Experience estimating cost, productivity hours and team structure for project execution
  • Willingness to travel regionally to client sites in the Southwest
