About the job

Your work helps clients transform their business through modern and powerful systems. As an Infrastructure Consulting Engineer, your technical skills support the design, installation and configuration of enterprise technology architecture, and all its components. You help design, implement and support such systems and technologies and you play a vital role in delivering top-quality systems that solve our clients’ business problems.

Day to day, you will:

Be a part of all project phases – Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test

Help define and establish IT operations, processes, procedures and toolsets to manage and maintain client solutions

Develop, modify and improve client infrastructure solutions

Support systems integration testing, component integration testing and user acceptance testing

Support project change management

Travel as required.

Your skills

You’re passionate about IT and you want to use your technical skills to solve real-world business problems. You are likely to have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Information Technology or similar. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be suitable. You have at least two years’ relevant experience in systems engineering and/or infrastructure, including relevant training and education.

We will help you attain your Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification in Windows Server 2012 and your Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification in Server Infrastructure within two years of starting with us.

Your skills and experience include:

Knowledge of core Microsoft platforms, including SQL, Exchange, and Hyper-V

Infrastructure solutions (especially Microsoft), Cloud technologies, networking, data centre operations, platform migration and enterprise directories

Operation management, systems security, testing, databases and mobility considerations

Some client consulting or project work

Good communications and presentation skills and a high standard of written English.
