You enjoy applying human-centred design practices, principles and expertise to the holistic definition, design and delivery of digitally enabled services. You achieve this through process and the application of relevant research, design and implementation methods to a given problem or opportunity.


About the job 

As a Senior Service Designer, you will have a strong portfolio of UX project work and deliverable production with some service design experience.  You will deliver design-led solutions to the highest quality.

You will act as a trusted advisor and be responsible for key project outcomes that have been defined in project plans and align to human-centred principles, practices and methodologies, as well as delivering highly usable service design solutions.


In your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Be a keen learner who keeps ahead of relevant trends, explore new ways of working and help catalogue tools, methods and ideas, help identify and refine improvements to our ways of working.
  • Help in the development of new methods and training and marketing materials.
  • Deliver service design deliverables along the project lifecycle; from business development work, through to implementation. 
  • Be primarily responsible for all project deliverables and work-products cover the full range of UX and Service Design artefacts including: • Assets • Blueprints • Journeys • Models • Personas • Wireframes •Prototypes • Reports • Scenarios and stories • Specifications • Storyboards • Touchpoints

Your skills and experience include:

  • Knowledge of all aspects of service design, ideally with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of research or design. 
  • A strong portfolio of projects, insights and publications in the public domain.
  • Experience in complex, technology enabled service design, ideally with experience in agency, consulting and in-house delivery. 
  • Strong organisational skills and expertise, spanning all aspects of leading, running and building a sustainable design practice.
  • Likely have about 4+ years relevant UX experience.
