Senior Director, Global Business Applications COE Enterprise Architect - D365CE
About the role
As a client-facing Business Applications Enterprise Architect focused on D365CE working as part of the Global Centre of Excellence team, you will support regional teams and work directly with clients in those regions. As an Enterprise Architect you will analyse a client’s systems and procedures to find areas that can be improved. You will then create a technology vision that is anchored in Business Applications but crosses all aspects of Avanade’s business to position a roadmap that is better suited to the client’s goals.
As an Enterprise Architect you may consult with the client’s Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer to discuss aims and objectives. You will also research best practices in the industry to keep your knowledge up to date.
You will primarily work in the pre-sales phase; however, you will engage in delivery to support the delivery team mobilization and be a point of potential escalation to resolve complicated technical issues. You’ll be responsible for guiding the sale and implementation of solutions that maximize business value from Information Technology (IT) investments and develop, maintain, and grow senior client relationships.
General Enterprise Architect skills and qualifications
An Enterprise Architect should have excellent knowledge of IT systems and how they operate in a business setting. They should also be comfortable playing a leadership role since they will work in close cooperation with senior management and encourage other employees to embrace changes within the company. Other skills and qualifications often required in the role include:
Strong analytical skills to examine business data and operating procedures
Critical thinking skills for identifying issues and making proposals to tackle them
Ability to explain technical procedures in an easy-to-understand way
Excellent report writing skills
Willingness to constantly learn new things and stay on top of the latest developments in IT and business practices
Enterprise Architect Role Requirements:
Oversee the technical and functionals designs during the pre-sales and delivery of client work streams for key strategic deals
Work systematically and logically to analyse situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications
Maintain regular contact with clients to anticipate, identify and respond to their needs and expectations
Establish architectures and pricing for customer-specific customizations
Prioritize work and spend time on most important, value-adding areas
Outstanding people management skills, including ability to lead a team and mentor individuals in career growth
Consulting / project-based background (not strictly client-side)
Customer oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, credibility, and character
Ability to travel as needed
Day-to-day, you will:
Partner with Accenture, AMBG, and Microsoft Global, to develop the alliance and identify and close business and solution opportunities
Be market facing and client focused
Collaborate with business development teams and Market Unit & Offering Leads to drive offerings to target clients
Provide solution governance and input on strategic deals and opportunities
Partner with Delivery Excellence to facilitate asset/accelerator harvesting assets from deals where appropriate
Contribute to Communities of Practice
Lead and review regional work, directing efforts to define functional, technical, operational and user requirements
Build and scale communities across Avanade globally, providing leadership to functional and technical architects
Have holistic knowledge of the third-party ISV ecosystem
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree: Technology related BA/BS or related experience
10 to 15+ years of project experience
Extensive experience in Dynamics365 CE solutions and the lifecycle of selling, planning, implementing, and maintaining such solutions through DevOps
Experience in Azure solutions, particularly for complex integrations, migrations, and security
Knowledge and experience of Azure AI, Digital Twin, IoT, Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO and Microsoft365 is a plus
Preferred Requirements:
Full life cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365CE implementations in a pre-sales lead role, as well as some delivery
Experience with .NET and Azure development
Working knowledge of programming methodologies, structures, and concepts
Dynamics Certification
Azure Certification
Prior consulting experience
Knowledge of project estimation techniques and challenges
