Avanade Inc. seeks a Senior Consultant - Data Protection in New York, NY to draw upon subject matter expertise of the Microsoft platform to design and implement Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Microsoft Intune for use in managing device types across iOS, Android, and Windows Devices. Day-to-day, you will: secure Office 365 and leverage Microsoft Secure Score; understand Microsoft Information Protection with data classification infrastructures and techniques to classify data, both on-premises and in the cloud; utilize Data Loss Prevention technologies across endpoints; implement Identity and Access management solutions required to operate Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Threat Protection capabilities; and articulate compliance frameworks including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPPA), and Payment Card Industry (PCI). Periodic travel to client sites is expected. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of New York City, NY. Offered Salary: $158,454 to $165,600 per year.
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical degree, and at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Data Protection Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Consultant, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. **Alternatively, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience, the employer will accept no degree and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or as Data Protection Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Consultant, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. The employer deems that any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.** A qualified applicant’s experience must include: 3 years of experience with cloud security architecture, design, operations and service orchestration across a variety of cloud platforms; 3 years of experience in designing architecture for and implementing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 including SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS solutions; 3 years of experience engaged in the plan, analysis, design, test, deploy and migrate phases of enterprise scale solutions with experience communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders during consulting/advisory discussions, both verbally and in written form; 2 years of experience working with the Microsoft collaboration stack, including Office 365, Exchange, and/or SharePoint Online; 1 year of experience engaged in the implementation and management of Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS); and 2 years of experience managing Azure Information Protection (AIP), Managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
