As a senior project manager with significant agile experience, you will be responsible for coordinating scope, budget, quality, and risks, monitoring and reporting, to enable a fast response to any issue. You build a collaborative team to support you, guide front-line operations, forge client and partner relationships, and manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.

Day-to-day you will:​
- Drive the successful delivery of one or more projects in an agile delivery mode

- Develop, implement and maintain a detailed project work plan, including appropriate controls, governance structures, timelines, budget and quality outcomes

- Mentor and manage Avanade and sub-contractor staff

- Achieve optimized cost structures for engagements by utilizing the right delivery locations and the right pyramid

- Ensure contracts are actively drawing on strategic Delivery programs and initiatives to drive productivity and efficiency​
- Manage your project(s) to achieve targeted contract revenue and delivered margin by managing predictable, on-time and on-budget delivery​
- Coordinate with other project managers and resourcing teams to successfully staff the delivery team

- Collaborates with Account Leadership and Portfolio Delivery Lead to implement Quality feedback as needed​
- Follows delivery management and governance guidelines
- Proactively reports status and issues and seeks input to progress delivery or resolve issues where appropriate​
- Drives contracts to utilize the relevant suite of delivery tools and systems to enhance delivery rigor​
- Provides deliverability input to opportunity sales and solutioning teams where required​
- Optimizes the client experience of multi-location delivery by ensuring seamless delivery from on-, off-, and nearshore locations​

Specific Client requirements

In this role you will also have a clear focus on delivering Microsoft based solutions using Agile methodologies. In particular:

• Experience managing agile projects at scale (3+ Scrum Teams using Scaled Agile Methodology)
• A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
• Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 5-15 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and Testing Personnel
• Strong familiarity with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Nexus, SAFe, etc)
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
  • Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, VersionOne or equivalent
  • Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
