As part of our Northeast Region, you are being asked to be a Leader of our Business Development focused on one or more areas of expertise within the Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Public Sector industries.  You will be responsible for leading a team identifying high potential technology transformation deals and partnering with Accenture to drive new and incremental revenue by prospecting, partnering, acquiring, and developing new and fast-growing business with clients in your area of expertise. Your team will build a pipeline for growth and closing business, including statements of work and contracts. You will interact with Accenture’s, new and current clients, gain referrals from them, and form strong trust relationships that open doors and close deals. You will maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions, contending offerings and current penetration of services and solutions.

Your Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and Leading a team of high performing sellers as you help align strategy with day to day field activities withing a few large accounts
  • Building and maintaining access to key business decision makers and generating C-level contacts by networking across the marketplace. 
  • Meeting with potential clients to grow and maintain various channel relationships.
  • Demonstrating and teaching the Avanade Sales Process, challenger selling and account management practices.
  • Developing and deploying specific industry use cases based on experience.
  • Occasionally travel to your client’s site, as needed.

You are a deal hunter, deal idea maker, deal originator.  You identify with being a self aware, self-starter who develops and wins new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions. You love to work collaboratively with energy, drive and dedication to overcome obstacles to achieve your goals. You take ownership and encourage others to make a positive impact. You have superb interpersonal skills and can establish strong relationships, you anticipate and neutralize obstacles and objections. You are a skillful influencer of internal and external resources.

Your Background and Skills Include:

  • Validated experience selling across multiple technology Solution areas (Applications & Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, Business Applications and Data & Artificial Intelligence), preferably enterprise scale consulting engagements that could include global delivery.
  • Working effectively with Microsoft, and other partners to grow their book of business.
  • Anticipating, identifying, and applying fast, effective solutions to remove roadblocks circumstances.
  • Deep experience working with Accenture account teams, leadership and aligning with their rhythms to activate enterprise sales motions
  • Success as a Business development Hunter with sophisticated closure capabilities
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor in addressing our client’s business needs.
  • Driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at the C-suite level.

Compensation for roles at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.   


Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role

New York: $160,000 to $185,000 (plus commission)
