Job Description

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer

Do you see how robotic process automation could help your customers? So do we.

You’ve seen the future and it’s robotic. You understand that robotic process automation (RPA) is an essential tool to help businesses succeed in their digital transformations.

About you

You are curious about new fields of technology and eager to get to grips with them – you understand that RPA takes the repetition and grind out of many mundane tasks, and that it’s a key technology of today’s most strategic and sophisticated projects. You enjoy putting innovation to work in real applications and getting real results.

About the job

As a RPA Developer, you’ll look after coding and configuring automation process components from low-level design (LLD) or solution design documents (SDD), making sure that they meet defined requirements. You’ll also validate automations by carrying out unit testing and ensuring that configuration control is maintained.

You’ll be participating in and looking after your own projects, being responsible for estimating the work, planning, stakeholder management, as well as ensuring their quality. You’re the bridge between your clients, cross-functional technology and the design teams to help deliver the right solution, and you’ll have a global team to call on when you need additional support.

Day to day, you will:

Developing new processes, tasks and objects and you’ll be comfortable using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand

Working within and helping to enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures

Supporting test teams during the product test and user testing phases to fix any bugs that may arise

Updating tech leads regularly on status, issues and risks

Improving skills in automation products by completing automation certification

Travel as needed.

Your skills

You’re comfortable working without close supervision but you enjoy collaborating with colleagues. You’re an analytical thinker who can think on your feet to improvise configuration or coding in new situations. You have at least three years of development experience and a good grounding in programming concepts. You are likely to have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. And we’d love it if you have certification in industry-leading RPA products.

Your qualifications likely include:

A programming background in any coding language, preferably .NET

Training on RPA tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere

Understanding of automation components and features in RPA products, as well as process design documents and technical design documents

Experience with development methodology and lifecycle, and at least one process automation project, using one an industry-leading RPA product.
