Job Description
- Look for ways to enhance the collaboration of the Japan team with key global and local stakeholders to ensure the Japan business is leveraging the support and capabilities from the global organisation and conversely sharing Japan best practices.
- Execute global business strategies and priorities through operational tactics that direct the business to achieve financial and strategic goals within the assigned region.
- Implement operational strategy/tools/processes within the region to ensure the execution of consistent operations across the Area.
- Lead with regional and area leadership in formulating current and long-range planning/execution of the company strategy.
- Own and execute regional business operations, partnering with Finance, HR, Sales, and other stakeholder groups to ensure the smooth running of the business.
- Serve as escalation point for operational issues.
- Responsible for the coordination and integration between other Business Operations teams, such as Scheduling, Resource Operations, Deal Management, etc.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and direction for the Workforce Execution teams in region, ensuring that skills and capabilities are effectively managed and optimised within the region.
- Lead communication/change management activities as needed to minimise business disruption.
- Optimisation of Workforce Supply/Demand performance to attain Chargeability goals.
- Collaboratively deliver strategic objectives with other leaders as they deliver against area/regions plans; drive operational effectiveness and intervene to increase likelihood of success.
- Translate high-level strategy into more localised operational objectives driving regional performance.
- Complexity: Possess the ability to function in a highly complex environment, often including ambiguous situations or data, delivering creative solutioning through significant networking to deliver regional results. Significant integration of work efforts and inputs are required.
- Discretion: Authority to establish standards and shift overall direction of projects and programs in response to functional strategy.
- Partner with the local Finance Lead to plan and execute the annual budgets with specific emphasis on account planning.
- Accountable for the operational team budget.
- Supervision Received: Operates with high degree of independence with support from area and COO leadership team.
- Active leader within the Regional Leadership Team and be able to “speak truth to power”.
- Drive business performance and manage risks to meet financial and operational targets.
- Objectively balance the portfolio, ensure sustainable, profitable growth
- Lead workforce planning & execution activities with direct accountability for regional chargeability and employee productivity.
- Lead Regional Deal Approval process to improve solution and Commercial constructs.
- Continuously improve competitiveness through cost to serve management.
- Assist Direct channel client teams to drive growth and delivery excellence.
- Act as a delegate for the Area/Region business owner as appropriate.
- Experience developing and managing a global organisation's operations to meet business objectives and strategies.
- Proven ability to coordinate complicated processes across the Area.
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership experience.
- Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organisation.
