North America Cyber Security Lead (can based anywhere within NA)

About the role:


As a senior leader in the North American (NA) Security business and being a member of the global security organization Leadership Team, you will be working on many of the most exciting, complex and leading-edge projects globally advising, guiding and executing technical strategies and roadmaps.


You will build, implement, drive, and execute strategies that result in business growth and increase client successes by delivering innovative security solutions leveraging the Microsoft portfolio of Cloud & Infrastructure Security, Application Security, Digital Identity, Data Protection, and Cyber Security Incubation offerings.


The Avanade NA Security Lead will also be relied upon as a deeply engaging leader for Avanade Cyber Security business. As well as being an engaging leader, you should be passionate about developing a strong go to market strategy, factoring in existing offerings as well as leading the development of regional specific offerings.


You will be responsible for partnering across a highly matrixed organization to solution and lead large scale, complex projects for enterprise clients. Advising clients at the highest strategic level with big-picture and tactical guidance on how security technology enables a wide range of business outcomes



About you:


As an experienced cyber security leader with a track record of guiding senior client stakeholders including CISOs on major change programs, you will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • Experience of working across complex regional areas
  • You are a natural people leader and inspire, engage, and enable people to do their best work
  • Grow the business by working and coaching the regional/country security leads on their security business with them and their local leadership
  • Play a leading role in solution and related sales activities by working closely with account and sales teams to ensure proposition and solution alignment
  • Highly skilled at advising and shaping solutions during the client scoping phase (pre-sales) playing a critical role in the evolution of a future state cyber security framework essential for successful cloud transformation and adoption
  • Demonstrated track record in building high impact ecosystem partnerships and delivering value through those relationships
  • Proven history utilizing complex multi-technology solutions to address client needs across an ever changing security ecosystem
  • Establish self as a go-to person in North America for any technical or commercial requirement in security domain in Avanade by building strong ties with the partner network and other entities and building trust of our clients in us
  • Comfortable facing-off to the most senior stakeholders and able build a robust cyber security roadmap for clients, recommending appropriate products and services
  • Drive cybersecurity offerings in the market, including effectively positioning and solutioning those offerings/sub-offerings with sales teams, direct/indirect channels, and target clients
  • An eye on the future, you should be aware of emerging technologies in the security landscape and be aware of the latest tools and techniques to mitigate threats
  • Shape security architectures for existing and proposed technologies and identify opportunities to grow market presence
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses and assessments to understand and explain client problems
  • Experience or understanding of solutioning client Security solutions using the Microsoft Security (and complementary ecosystem) technologies
  • Understanding the competitive market/differentiation of Microsoft security solutions
  • Utilize standard consulting management skills such as facilitation, interviewing, gap analysis, etc.
  • Write complete client proposals including crafting the proposed solution and collaborating with other Avanade individuals to secure new client work
  • Lead and support the initial solution delivery of a broad range of Security engagements
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with client executives, effectively sell follow on Security engagements
  • Good understanding of security offerings and assets development along with technical teams.

You are ambitious, enterprising, and personable, possessing outstanding leadership qualities, that allows you to assume a critical role in the Security Practice with an ability to grow and scale over time.
