Job Description

Together we go beyond.

As Senior Legal Counsel supporting Avanade Global Offerings and Partner Ecosystems, you will serve as a trusted advisor for Avanade’s rapidly evolving business. You will partner with the business and technical teams, and relevant corporate functions across Avanade, to optimize the development of cutting-edge technology offerings and the construction of strategic partnerships, assessing and advising on various topics such as intellectual property, contracting, regulatory compliance and other legal topics, in an efficient and effective manner.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end legal support to Avanade’s Global Solution Area and Offering teams, from the development of new offerings, sub-offerings, incubators, platforms, software, business models and solutions, to the delivery of such offerings and services to clients.
  • Provide end-to-end legal support to Avanade’s Global Partner Ecosystem team in strategic partnerships, from relationship formation to the go-to-market activities and service delivery, supporting Avanade’s growth strategy driven by the company’s ecosystem of partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations of global strategic partnership contracts, as well as master subcontracts and other arrangements with established global partners.  Support contracting with client deal execution, reducing delays and friction in deal cycles, to enable sustainable growth and innovation.
  • Lead legal reviews to facilitate the use or resale of third-party products and services as part of the Avanade’s offerings and solutions, with achievement of preferred accounting treatment in compliance with Avanade policies.
  • Support post-merger integration activities for potential and completed acquisitions of practices involving Avanade partnerships.
  • Assess and evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks in new offerings, from intellectual property, contracting, compliance, and legal perspectives, working with stakeholders and colleagues across the company, to develop practical legal recommendations for an intelligent and balanced go-to market approach.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, tools, and training materials.  Provide overall guidance and regular trainings related to Avanade’s global offerings and partnerships worldwide. Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into the company’s practices and processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Avanade Legal Group on topics related to Avanade’s offerings, solutions and partner ecosystem. Work with the parent Accenture to align on applicable policies and best practices, in different subject matters.
  • Actively participate in team-wide initiatives of the Avanade Legal Group and company-wide initiatives of Avanade and Accenture, including Diversity and Inclusion related initiatives.
