Avanade is embarking on a multiyear sales transformation as part of our ambitious business strategy to dramatically grow Avanade. As the Learning Portfolio Lead for Global Sales, you will lead the team that creates, curates and delivers the learning that helps the Sales organization deliver with excellence, thrive in their teams and grow in their careers. You and your team will have a ground-up opportunity to create and reimagine the distinctive experiences that will prepare Avanade Sales professionals for years to come. Your team’s work will help to unlock the full potential of our selling community and have a direct impact on Avanade’s bold growth ambitions. In addition to being a leader within Global Learning, you will also be a critical part of the Global Sales Enablement team.

Key responsibilities:

Global Sales Program Execution:  Leading and supporting the team responsible for executing our ambitious program plan. While this is not a “training” role, you should be comfortable selectively instructing classes when appropriate. 

Examples of current Sales Learning & Development initiatives:
  • Sales curriculum design, including driving the creation of supporting material
  • Identification of appropriate delivery modality for training and media type (including gamification)
  • Development and implementation of a consistent, interactive Global Sales Onboarding
  • Partner with Global Sales Talent Community Lead & Global Sales Enablement Lead to identify focus areas related to learning & development priorities and capability building
  • Coaching & just-in-time development across the seller work-load(,including lead and opportunity management, selling skills and behaviors, account or portfolio management, etc.)
Align, Amplify & Scale: Foster a strong network of stakeholders and sponsors across geographies and departments to ensure program awareness, relevance and uptake. Align with the broader Sales Transformation Program, and -  as appropriate -  integrate with initiatives in other parts of the business (ex. Academies, Inclusion & Diversity, Leadership Development) 

Program Evolution: Identify, explore, build on and reimagine our professional sales skills learning programs to offer the next generation of distinctive learning experiences for our selling professionals.
Bring disruptive new ideas to drive effectiveness and engagement through use of innovative approaches to learning.

Build & Lead Your Team: Direct leadership of a 3-person team. Your leadership and influence extends to our pool of internal and vendor-based instructors.

Measure Impact & Continually Improve:  Help evolve our thinking of how we measure and report on program impact and effectiveness specific to the Global Sales Enablement plan.  Use data and learner feedback to help our team continually improve.

L&D experience: Have created, led and delivered learning in a complex, matrixed organization
Innovator able to identify and leverage industry best practice to elevate programs and practices
Background in sales training/consulting, client relationships, sales training delivery & comms
Project management with have a record of successful stakeholder management/ delivered outcomes
Business Acumen, strong organizational awareness and experience with executive-level stakeholders
Interpersonal Skills and diplomacy, effectively able to build collaborative relationships at all levels
People leadership: have experience leading a team, managing direct reports, coaching/mentoring
Diverse teaming: finds inspiration in working with people from various backgrounds and cultures
