Job Description

We are seeking multiple Automation Testers to join Avanade. If you are early in your career and looking for a role where you can grow - come and join our Software Engineering Talent Community. You will perform a wide range of quality control tests and analysis to ensure that the software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. You will collaborate with the development team to establish, testing process, acceptance criteria, and to develop/ execute automated and manual testing.


You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for the role. 


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Deliver a range of test execution activities
  • Participate in artefact review / inspection meetings, identifying issues and providing feedback- Identify QA Process Issues and escalate appropriately
  • Coach others on correct QA processes at a basic level
  • Author basic Test Matrices from Business/Technical Requirements with some supervision
  • Take ownership of basic QA Planning Tasks with some supervision
  • Translate the 'Big Picture' of an application and business needs into personal work
  • Create, edit, and update automated test scripts with some supervision (if applicable)

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:


  • Selenium Test automation, continuous integration and automated deployment
  • Experience in full stack .NET development and .Net core
  • Net/C# Developing & Auto Test Scripting
  • Selenium Test automation, continuous integration and automated deployment
  • Software development & design experience
  • Experience with C# and asp.net MVC, webAPI and unit testing
  • Operational skills around Angular5+, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Fair skills around database development with sql server 2012+ - T-Sql, store proc
  • Knowledge of OOP principles and N-tier and N-layered architecture.
  • Experience with mobile application testing 
  • Passion for agile software delivery processes
  • Understanding of QA activities in relation to systems development lifecycle

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 1-3 years of hands on work experience in the above areas, preferably in a technology or consulting environment.


This role requires direct contact with Avanade clients as well as attendance in person at Avanade workplaces and other company sponsored meetings and events.  In order to comply with our client requirements and Avanade’s own health and safety obligations this role requires the Applicant to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.   Proof of vaccination will be required during the application process.  Applicants who have appropriate written proof of a medical or religious reason for not being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may provide such documentation.
