Job Description

[MULTIPLE POSITIONS]: Avanade Inc. seeks Intelligent Automation Architects in New York, NY to oversee the design, build, and implementation of high-quality RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and IA (Intelligent Automation) solutions and to manage the application architecture process for RPA.  Involved in all stages of the software/product development process (Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop and Test), you will: manage the work/effort of project teams engaged in building, designing, and implementing automation solutions leveraging RPA technologies such as Blue Prism, Power Platform, Microsoft C#.NET, and SQL Server; work with client stakeholders to define technical, operational, and business process requirements; perform work estimation, planning, and stakeholder management; participate in pre-sales activities including development of proposals and design of conceptual solutions; and serve as a career advisor/mentor to other solution developers/analysts. Travel may be required and expected in the future, depending on the needs of the project/client. A qualified applicant must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of New York, NY.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, as a Senior Software Engineering Manager, or in a similar technology consulting role within the IT industry. A qualified applicant’s professional experience must include: 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft .NET and SQL Server to design, develop and deliver business applications; 1 year of experience building, designing, and implementing automation solutions leveraging RPA technologies such as Blue Prism or Microsoft Power Platform; 4 years of experience managing large or multiple teams of developers to automate business processes; 4 years of experience working with client organizations and service delivery teams to define deliverables, budget, schedule, dependencies, service levels, and other operating metrics and scope; 4 years of experience managing issues/risks as the primary escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders; and 4 years of experience partnering with client, delivery, account and solution teams to achieve client outcome improvement.
