Job Description

As a Solution Area Lead, you will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the Applications and Infrastructure business across the Iberia Region (Spain and Portugal). You will develop the Solution Area business strategy, oversee day-to-day operations, ensure quality, and deliver against financial performance metrics. In concert with other Solution Area specialists, local and regional leadership, you will ensure that Avanade delivers market leading solutions and value for clients.

 

Day-to-Day, You Will: 

  • Own and drive priority Iberia Application and Infrastructure business development pursuits by defining the strategy and execution through go-to-market activities such as campaigns, portfolio sales and solutioning.
  • Grow the business through developing and delivering region relevant offerings, managing partnerships, and team leadership.
  • Manage collaboration with delivery management to ensure profitable delivery, ensuring adherence to Avanade methodologies and ensuring client satisfaction across the portfolio Application and Infrastructure Services.
  • Support Solution Area personnel activities, including hiring, staffing, skills forecasting, and career development for cloud and software architects and engineers.
  • Partner with Capability Leads to determine priorities for Talent Communities, staff positioning on client projects and business development activities.
  • Develop and manage relationships with Accenture and Microsoft to drive offerings and solutioning to the Nordic market and work with sales and delivery to enable the desired outcomes.

 

About You:

You are a well-rounded consulting services professional. You understand the industry, the client perspective, the technology, the commercials, and the market. You are a great client communicator and a mentor and leader to your team. You know the cloud market and have experience selling and solutioning within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.  You have experience with go-to-market activities for cloud transformations, systems integration, custom applications development and managed services experience.

 

Your Business Leadership Experience Encompasses:

  • Growing a technology services line of business through strategy and sales contribution 
  • Establishing a presence in the market and in the minds of key clients through client interactions and leadership
  • Complex stakeholder and channel management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, especially strong influencing, and negotiation capabilities

 

Specific Consulting and Delivery Experience Includes: 

  • Delivering results for client organizations through complex application and cloud transformation solutions including most of the following:
    • Secure Cloud Architecture and Migrations on Azure
    • Cloud Optimization and Managed Services on Azure
    • System Integration, Agile Application Transformation on Azure
    • Application Maintenance moving to Manage and Evolve opportunities
    • Complex Workload migrations and operations (e.g., SAP on Azure, Azure VMWware Services, Mainframe on Azure)
    • Software Engineering – custom application development at scale, digital product development, digital decoupling
    • Cloud Native software development and cloud analytics with familiarity of supporting Microsoft technology services
  • Strong consulting and project-based background, including assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with large-scale, complex projects
  • Guiding and directing regional teams in developing, producing, and promoting solution offerings
  • In-depth experience with nearshore and offshore teams and delivery 

 

You have demonstrated relevant technology business leadership experience in areas such as solution sales, creation, delivery, and business management. You also have proven people and/or business leadership experience, particularly leading consultants. 

 

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business or a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
