Job Description

Health & Public Sector Industry Delivery Lead


Manages the portfolio of projects in Australia for the Industry Health & Public Sector, along with Industry Leadership and the Director of Delivery.

Focuses on the execution of the delivery and quality process, including monitoring of compliance and results and identifying any improvement actions necessary (through delivery operations).

Leads client satisfaction and delivery of Avanade key metrics on the portfolio.

Spends a high percentage of time in front of clients.


Key Role Responsibilities:


Day-to-day, you will:

  • Accountable
    • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies throughout all delivery management activities
    • Achievement of positive Sold vs Delivered metrics

  • Responsible 
    • Enable the processes, tools and techniques to manage delivery compliance and internal controls in support of standard methods, processes, and accepted best practices in project and program delivery
    • Support planning and decision-making for improvement initiatives related to profitability, quality, and overall contract delivery at the engagement and portfolio levels 
    • Support Delivery Leads using delivery core systems, MME, myWizard, c365, Avanade Estimating and Pricing (AEP), Manage My Record (MMR) and delivery processes (e.g. Financial Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps) through coaching and extensive knowledge of the delivery process / tools.
    • Conduct of regional Contract Operating Plan (COP) program
    • Organise and conduct delivery alignment with Accenture H&PS Technology DL.
    • Conducting Opportunity and Delivery QA and ensure DoD and IDL have clear visibility of the risks associated within the portfolio.
    • Preparing and delivering a monthly executive update to Area Delivery Leadership
    • Ensuring that projects that are not of a GREEN status have go to GREEN plan.
    • Hosting of the Management Level Review (MLR) process as required
    • Support of the Talent Community within region

  • Consulted on -
    • Attending OpTeam meeting and deal coaching calls.
    • Coaching and subject-matter expertise related to use of core delivery systems, including Manage My Engagement (MME), myWizard, c365, Avanade Estimating and Pricing (AEP) and delivery processes (e.g., Financial Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps) through coaching and extensive knowledge of the delivery process / tools
    • Tracking and monitoring Solution Planning coverage for high-risk Area and Global sized opportunities
    • Ensuring compliance to processes and guidelines, including Quality Assurance (QA) management tracking and Risk Assessment processes and compliance
    • Protecting customer data, ensuring Customer Data Protection (CDP) policies and requirements are integrating into standard offerings and delivery processes and supporting CDP issue resolution
    • Solution Contingency management (SC)


Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:


Project Management experience and familiarity with standard delivery controls and processes.  Financial management skills to support project budget and economic health.  Delivery skills, such as proficiency in work plan management, including standard Delivery Metrics, Status Reporting, Issue Management and Risk Management.  Strong analytical skills and proficient with project tracking tools such as DevOps.

Strong Leadership and Strong Communication Skills.

You will likely possess a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree), in relevant field

You will likely have 8-10+ years of experience in operations management or delivery management, preferably in technology or consulting/professional services and 6+ years in People Management.

Ideally prior experience within Health and/or Public sector industry.
