About the opportunity 

Our Information Security Official position will be an integral member, acting as the primary contact for all of security, risk, compliance, and privacy regulation related matters in the Growth Markets (Australia, Singapore/Malaysia, China/HK, Japan, Brazil and UAE) regions of Avanade.  

What you will love doing 

The Information Security Official will partner collaboratively with global and regional security teams on all security domains including but not limited to:

• Client Data Security Reviews and Questionnaires (pre-sales and delivery) 
• Escalations related to client data security 
• Security and privacy due diligence and PMI during mergers and acquisitions 
• CDP Related escalations 
• Escalations related to the area’s Security Posture Scorecard 

What skills are we interested in you having?  

You have a demonstrable track record in Senior Managerial Information Security positions where you are known for your diverse knowledge and capability across the Information Security domain, ideally within a consulting environment (highly favourable), banking, utilities, or other highly regulated sectors.  

You excel at leveraging your interpersonal and communication skills, especially in influencing and collaborating with cross functional teams to triage and resolve escalations, identifying opportunities for further learnings and remediation. You also love the people management component of the role which includes developing, mentoring and leading successful geographically spread teams.  

Technically, you will be well equipped with technical capabilities and experience concerning Microsoft products, tools and technologies (specifically Azure Cloud Security, Microsoft networks, operating systems, infrastructure, development, cloud and hybrid architectures) with the addition of formal Security certifications and training.
