Avanade’s Corporate Communications Specialist responsible for supporting the Global Corporate Communications Director in building awareness and understanding of Avanade’s market-leading skills and positioning across the Microsoft ecosystem externally.

This position is a key role within Avanade’s corporate communications team and is responsible for supporting the Global Corporate Communications Director in the planning and execution of global external communication programs and projects, working with Area corporate communications leads and other internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and coordinated dissemination of content.

About the job:
Leading Voices Program
  • In this role as, you will support the Global Corporate Communications Director in managing Avanade’s Leading Voices (LV) program by sharing content and media/speaking/other external opportunities promote and position Avanade as a leader in AI and the Microsoft eco-system by:
    • Mining and sharing news, thought leadership, client successes and other external facing content.
    • Curating and sharing media, speaker and conference participation opportunities.
    • Working with Area corporate communications lead to identify and tailor content for local market promotion and engagement.
    • Help provide best practice/optimization guidance to LV community members to help them grow the external profiles.
    • Garner LV feedback to share with the global corporate communications leads.
    • Monitor and share successes, results and learning across the community.
    • Schedule and manage the agenda for quarterly LV forums/updates.
Integrated Communications
  • Work with the Global Corporate Communications Director to plan, manage and execute integrated communications activities (across external, social and internal channels), ensuring alignment with global marketing initiatives.
  • Help manage and coordinate the pipeline of integrated corporate announcements, identifying key stakeholders, appropriate communication channels and required assets.
  • Support multi-channel communications campaign activation, including some content creation.
  • Support Integrated Comms Best Practices - the creation of a central repository to house key process documents, such as planning templates and maintaining comprehensive lists of key stakeholders to enhance communication and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team and share ideas to improve and integrate communications across internal and external channels.
Reporting and Administration
  • Support external communications results/impact reporting activities, including:
  • Monthly Total Audience Reach metrics
  • Collate and share news announcements performance results across traditional and social media channels
  • Help with monthly external communications budget reconciliation
  • Support with Budget admin (PO creation/tracking etc.)
Skills and Experiences:
  • Experience of conceptualizing, building and executing end-to-end communications programs (including social media and internal comms) that align to business objectives, can integrate with other marketing programs, and produce impactful results
  • Excellent and disciplined project management and process improvement skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a think-on-your-feet attitude and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Experience in working with diverse, global stakeholders to of managing C-suite stakeholders in challenging situations.
  • Well-practiced at researching and utilizing data from internal and external sources to inform communication and engagement strategies.
About you:
  • Have a 'digital first' approach to communication and engagement, backed by a solid understanding of marketing communications.
  • Confidently engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Comfortable working and managing ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent writing skills, across audiences and channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, branding, social media, public relations or related discipline or relevant work experience.
