The Growth and Strategy team partners with key leadership to formulate Avanade’s strategy for growth by developing clear executive-level strategic narratives that outline the situation, complications, and potential options to accelerate overall growth of our global business. This team is also responsible to drive early execution of strategic programs that support our growth agenda.

As Growth & Strategy Director you develop future strategies in partnership with business leaders to set the direction of travel for Avanade’s overall success. You are experienced in diverse technology portfolio management, opportunity sizing and refinement. You are a team leader who thrives in working across a multi-faceted group of individuals – you lead, you inspire, and you get the results – to bring forward the most impactful strategic programs for a global organization.

Your expertise includes crafting rapid, data-driven, and practical strategies to boost growth and innovation, leveraging market and competitive research. Results-oriented, self-directed, and a team leader who is inquisitive, and entrepreneurial-minded—you are all of these, as well as a trusted advisor the highest levels of Leadership.

The Work:

  • Develops senior level (Executive Committee and Board) presentations to discuss findings of strategy work and present options and recommendations
  • Analyze market and financial data including financial forecasting, ROI assessments and sizing the total addressable market
  • Research competitors, technology trends, including synthesis of implications relevant to areas under study Set objectives and assist in the delivery of projects or work efforts that have a direct effect on business results within a functional or operational area
  • Execute and manage portfolios of strategic projects. Gather, analyze and assess business performance to identify areas of improvement, opportunities and / or risks to drive growth
  • Apply a structured approach to problem-solving by framing hypotheses top-down, analyzing trends and synthesizing complex data sets to spot recommendations for growth
  • Develop executive-level business cases and project plans to drive growth strategy
  • Deliver assigned outcomes with high business impact of high quality and against strict deadlines
  • Identify, coach, and develop key talent on own team by readily sharing skills, knowledge, and information

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of relevant business experience
  • 5+ of strategy and program management experience
  • Experience in technology strategy/consulting
  • MBA or equivalent Master’s degree is preferred
  • High level of maturity in a highly visible role with access to confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complex strategic concepts to a variety of audiences
