About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Analyst, who is eager to learn and grow, to join our growing Platform Engineering Team. The Platform Software Group is a diverse Software Engineering and DevOps team tasked with building and maintaining a platform for use by Avanade project teams to deliver managed services across a wide range of technologies both on premises and in the cloud. We work at a fast pace to support new opportunities and technologies using the latest technologies. 

Role Requirements:

·         Develop, maintain, and enhance features on the ServiceNow platform 

·         Formulate testing approach, develop test cases, and deploy applications using defined release practices 

·         Assists with platform configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgrades 

·         Create technical, functional, and end-user operational documentation 

·         Partner with cross-functional technology teams to integrate solutions 

·         Engage with offshore and global teams 

·         Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix identified platform issues 

·         Participate in on-call rotation 

As a DevOps Analyst your primary focus will be to develop, test, and maintain features built on top of the ServiceNow platform. You will work on a variety of new platform projects and features and will have the opportunity to learn new technologies and practices. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript 
  • Ability to work in teams and individually when needed 
  • Working with agile delivery methodologies 
  • Experience as a System Analyst or Administrator of a service management application, preferably ServiceNow 
  • Ability to communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form 
  • Basic understanding of native Azure features and solutions 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent experience
  • Azure Certification
  • Working knowledge of Source Control Systems, such as git
