Solution Areas are what we want to be known for in the market; they are the areas on which our clients most frequently seek our guidance during their digital transformation journey. Within our Solution Areas, we have core Offerings, which are the solutions we deliver to our clients. By specializing in and formalizing these select Offerings, we can deepen our relationships with our clients across their entire business and compete in new areas, helping us to grow our market share.  Using the power of modern data platforms, visualizations, advanced analytics, machine learning, IOT/Digital Twins and applied intelligence, we help clients gain business insights to optimize their operations, drive innovation, and make more empowered decisions.

As a regional Data & AI Solution Area Lead, you will lead and guide the Data & AI Solution Area business for your region.  You will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance and growth of the Data & AI offerings in your assigned geography. You will partner across our consulting, Center of Excellence and other solution area teams to create cutting edge solutions to address our clients’ needs. You will work with our marquis industry partners (Accenture & Microsoft) to support regional sales and delivery teams through the full lifecycle of solution development and execution. You will work within diverse teams of professionals at varying levels to ensure a carefully manage sales and delivery process resulting in successful client engagements!

As a Regional Solution Area Lead you will,

  • Continue to identify the most relevant cross-industry solutions-at-scale for your region and execute on them including Data Migration, Automation Migration, Visualization/Reporting and Core Data Platform Modernization and Governance
  • Build and lead the strategy execution for Avanade’s Applied Intelligence, IOT/Digital Twin, Industry X (industry 4.0) and Intelligent Automation businesses in your region
  • Drive measurable and sustained growth across the Data & AI Solution Area
  • Integrate Data & AI into the other Global Solution Areas (Modern Workplace, Apps & Infrastructure, and Business Applications), offerings and go-to-market initiatives
  • Drive strong Managed Services and multi-year engagements for Data & AI
  • Be known for your “client centric” approach and delivery excellence
  • Champion differentiated commercial models and outcomes for our clients with a focus on client value, and longer term and stronger client relationships
  • Drive sales and delivery utilizing a Global network and leveraging offshore and near-shore sales, solutioning, and delivery capabilities
  • Effectively partner with our parent companies Accenture and Microsoft and other ISVs
  • Lead with a strong orientation and focus on the development of your team with an elevation in diversity

As a Data & AI leader, you will contribute to the development of the annual regional business plan and budgets through both strategies and actions. Through the gathering of marketplace and cross regional insights, you’ll shape requirements for solution offerings, while setting the tone for effective delivery of projects, including delivery innovations and enhancement suggestions to improve overall efficiency.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Drive customer conversations and business outcomes
  • Effectively architect and solution with clients and drive sales through proposal to deal closing
  • Partner with Accenture and Microsoft leadership to develop the alliance and identify and close business opportunities.  Act as the main point of contact with Accenture and Microsoft: to review pipeline, educate them on our offerings and ensure Azure is considered as part of proposed solutions with clients
  • Identify high priority solution areas and seek solution investments as necessary for your region
  • Collaborate with and educate account and sales team to drive solutions to target clients, including all stages of the deal pursuit, review and approval
  • Support quality and client delivery issues for offerings and solutions in your Region
  • Manage budget against assigned Area/Region metrics; provide forecasting and sales pipeline analysis to support processes
  • Support the greater people ecosystem, including but not limited to leadership recruiting, performance reviews, compensation and rewards at the regional level as relevant
  • Partner with the global Center of Excellence (CoE) on offering and asset development
  • Ensure practices that generate, reuse and protect Intellectual Property and Avanade assets
  • Monitor growth and delivery performance along with forecast to identify resource and skill needs to deliver solutions for clients.

About you

You are a seasoned leader with experience in growing and leading a medium to large scale, international technology services organization with a focus on Data & AI.   As a business leader, you have a history of developing go to market strategies and capabilities to meet business objectives, and a track record in sales and delivery of solutions to customers. You have excellent personal leadership and communication skills, with experience leading a high-growth, high-demand, top talent environment.

In addition, your professional skillset likely includes:

  • Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IOT and related technologies
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing solutions for selected industries
  • Consulting and project-based background with a passion for driving technology solutions.  Ability to understand complex business requirements, solution and build prototypes as needed with quick turnaround time.
  • Successful business development and marketing within a diverse customer portfolio and complex channel management
  • Building partnerships with organizations of a scale, complexity and sophistication similar to Accenture and Microsoft
  • Demonstrated managerial, leadership and effective peer teaming expertise in large, multinational organizations with off-shore teams
  • Ability to achieve through influence and effective navigation of a matrixed organization

You possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   An advanced degree or MBA is strongly preferred, particularly technical (IT, engineering, or related).   You have 10+ years relevant technology business leadership experience, including solution sales, creation, delivery and business management, and more than 8 years of demonstrated people and/or business leadership experience, particularly within a consultancy.
