D365 F&O Developer [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Job Description:

[MULTIPLE POSITIONS]: Avanade Inc. seeks D365 F&O Developers in Houston, TX to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use. Through deep functional knowledge and familiarity with the application, you will: serve as a technical expert on development projects and participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design; design, develop, document, test and debug new modules and extensions in AX; write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements; identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation; and support functional consultants in tracing during prototyping. Periodic travel to client sites is expected. Must live w/ in reasonable commuting distance of Houston, TX.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Management Information Systems, or closely related technical field, plus at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a D365 F&O Developer, or in a similar role in a technology or IT consulting environment. A qualified applicant's professional experience must include: 5 years of experience in design, development and troubleshooting in either Dynamix AX or Finance and Operations, Dynamics Lifecycle Services, or Azure Services (i.e., Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Web Services); 3 years of experience performing Application Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Services in Dynamix AX; 5 years of experience in either AX or F&O Development framework (Extensions, Sys operation framework, and COC) using X++ to develop Extensions, Workflows, Integrations, Data Entities, Reports and Dual Write; 5 years of experience writing technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements; 5 years of experience developing native SSRS reports within either Dynamix AX or Finance and Operations and/or Power BI reports; 5 years of experience in requirement gathering, collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders in ERP implementation projects; 3 years of experience leading and mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews, defining, and implementing code branching and merging; and 3 years of experience in data migration and conversion of data from legacy systems in either Dynamix AX or Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and developing integrations with external applications or systems.
