About the Role
As a Consultant, Cloud Advisory, you play an integral part in defining how Avanade views and perceives the marketplace in the categories for which we offer Advisory Services to our clients. You are an advisor, operating within teams to assess the client Infrastructure environment (current issues, standards, technology, tooling, processes, capabilities, operating model and ongoing transformation). You support teams to create the future state IT infrastructure strategy that addresses all stakeholder agreed issues and change requirements, taking into account business strategy, guiding principles and ongoing transformation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Uses advanced knowledge to provide a comprehensive understanding of business challenges in support of the project, understanding of the client’s business in the IT customer context, design customer flows/customer journey analysis. 
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of business models, business and consumer technologies and experience in the details of implementation plans/IT improvement approaches and research methods.
  • Responsible for supporting vendor selection and procurement engagements through providing a mix of technical and analytical expertise to build requirements, input content into request for documentation and detailed and objective analysis to compare vendor responses against client requirements
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and career advice to junior level peers and evaluating the outputs of other team members.
  • Responsible for pre-sales support which consists of understanding client requirements, building proposals, building statements of work, creating effort and resourcing plans.
  • Leverages advanced communication skills to guide stakeholders to develop and implement strategies, policies and processes which are fit for purpose-Lead interviews, build deliverables and present findings to clients.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant consulting experience
  • Advanced analytical skills in analyzing, disseminating and interpreting business models and financial reporting to provide valuable business insight and work alongside senior colleagues to support clients in shaping strategy and policy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key decision makers at senior levels internally and externally
  • Advanced skills in a variety of communication styles, such as writing, presentations, and reporting, with the ability to translate complex business analytics into information consumable by executives internally and externally
  • Experience in procurement cycle including response management and analysis, technical and non-technical assurance, contract assurance and design, build and migration assurance-Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills-Familiarity with Cloud Services
