Job Description

In a client-facing role, you will be engaged in some of the most exciting, complex, and leading-edge security projects. You will play an active role in transforming our client’s cybersecurity solutions and operations through the design and implementation of Microsoft technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and M365.


As a member of Avanade’s security practice, you will be in a unique position to work for both Avanade and Accenture clients, ranging in size from medium to large global enterprise clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire Avanade organization by being a collaborative and knowledge-sharing individual, with the real opportunity to help shape the global Avanade security offerings as well as demonstrate your thought leadership by producing blogs and articles for your region and for Avanade.com. We actively encourage and provide opportunities to undertake innovation, training, and development to ensure you are always at the cutting-edge Microsoft Security technology and our vendor solutions.


As a Cloud Security Architect, you are responsible for leading the development of information security architecture and ensuring technology initiatives are implemented within the framework to make our client’s cloud environments more secure. You are securing enterprise information by identifying network and application security requirements, and planning, implementing, and testing security controls and procedures. You will be customer-facing and will play an active role in transforming our client’s Security through designing and implementing Security technologies on-premises and in the cloud.


Our ideal candidate will have a leadership track record in developing and growing long-term, high-value client relationships. You are adept at communications, especially with influencing and negotiation capabilities that help you establish and grow solutions with key clients. Internally, you enjoy advising leadership teams in the development, production, and promotion of security solution offerings to grow a technology services line of business.

Day-to-day, you will: 

  • Support business development/sales activities by working closely with regional account and sales teams to ensure proposition and solution alignment;
  • Develop proposal, respond to RPF, and present solutions;
  • Handle deal pursuits, and provide technical competency to build and defend winnable propositions for our clients;
  • Meet with clients and lead workshops with Accenture and Microsoft;
  • Lead and work closely with enterprise architects and engineers to identify and mitigate risks, perform security reviews, design top-tier security practices, and deliver strategic, innovative cloud-based security offerings;
  • Propose, design, plan, and execute strategic and tactical security objectives;
  • Identify appropriate technology and drive the collection of data necessary to evaluate threats effectively;
  • Analysing threats and current security controls to identify gaps in the current defensive posture.

Your Skills:

  • You have experience with different delivery models Advisory/Consulting vs. Managed Services
  • You understand what’s needed for practice development, establishing Go-To-Market campaigns, and Capacity & Capability development plans.
  • You have experience implementing Cloud security posture management (CSPM), Cloud workload protection (CWP), Secure Cloud Foundation, Container Security, and SIEM solutions for cloud and hybrid cloud deployment models.
  • You are a leader in the space of Cloud Security and Compliance with a deep understanding of the project and solutions lifecycle, designing and estimating solutions that not just meet our clients, but far exceed their expectations.
  • You are a creative problem solver, always thinking ahead and spotting risks.
  • You have experience delivering strategy & roadmap advisory, design, and implementation consulting, and managed services with various customers on the Cloud security maturity scale.
  • You are comfortable making recommendations to clients and have experience engaging with medium-large organizations.
  • To supplement the technical knowledge, the security solution lead will project delivery experience, come from a Consulting background with strong customer-facing skills, and have the ability to understand their requirements and produce high-quality written proposals.
  • You can advise on and define cloud architecture for Microsoft Platforms, suitable technology and solutions for client needs, cloud security control requirements, availability, data security, network security, suitable benchmarks, monitoring, and management of cloud security risks;

Your Experience:

You should have a strong foundation across the Microsoft technology stack and Azure security offerings. You effectively communicate security and risk-related concepts to key stakeholders and have a good understanding of industry trends for cybersecurity, risk & threat intelligence, and governance. Your experience includes (but is not limited to) the following: 

  • You have proven experience working with a broad range of security and cloud standards such as ISO27017, NIST, CIS, Azure Benchmark, etc. SME knowledge in a couple of industry sectors and technical control areas (e.g. Network Security in FS) is a plus;
  • You have proven technical knowledge with Microsoft Security and Compliance, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Network Security (e.g. NSG / ASG) and CI/CD security practices;
  • You know the wider Azure eco-system (e.g. Data Factory, Dataverse), and security baseline configurations;
  • You display strong consulting expertise – Stakeholder engagement, defining strategies, report writing, project management, presenting, sales enablement etc;

Certifications:

·       Advanced Microsoft Security Certifications (e.g. SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, MS-500, AZ-500).

·       Industry-recognized certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, CISM, SANS).
